Carlisle United (H) League 1 Saturday 20/11/10.
Every team in the league will be relishing the chance to face us , The Cumbrians will be rubbing their hands .
Form Guide last 6 league games.
Notts County - home - won 1-0
Exeter - away - lost 1-2
Charlton - home - lost 3-4
Bristol Rovers - away - drew 1-1
Tranmere - home - won 2-0
Southampton - home -won 3-2
Full away record.
won 2-drew 3-lost 2 - 9 goals - 7 against
Our visitors sit 4th in the table 26 points from 16 played.
Prediction : 1-1
Worry thing is if we win it will not be enough to lift us off the bottom.

2-1 defeat - we couldn't manage a win if Carlisle stayed at home! :(

But when we do lose, it will be unlucky. It will be down to individual errors and Hutchings will talk about the need to 'roll our sleeves up that bit more'. Byfield will talk about nearly being fit and will then break down in training. Gray will look like he was once a Premiership player and then realise that breaking into a sweat involves effort; our central defenders will make Darren Moore look like Franz Beckenbauer. Reuben Reid will look like a headless chicken despite O'Connor shouting at him as if he is a disobedient jack russell. Hutchings will applaud encouragingly when Walker kicks it straight in to touch (while Macken will, hands on hips, wonder what the point of first-team football is when he never receives any service. In vain, Walsall will then try and sign someone in January that was released in June and has been without a club ever since (and has not really thought about training in between times). By making 'local boy' Taundry captain and bringing back 'Walker', it will deflect attention away from the fact that relegation has never felt more inevitable. It feels like the 'bad old days' of Merson yet no one inside the club is prepared to wake up and smell the coffee. The irony is that there is no way in a million years that teams like Yeovil, Carlisle and Bournemouth should be beating us (and I would be amazed if Bournemouth's wage bill is bigger than ours with journeymen like Steve Fletcher and Bradbury in their team).
Expecting a Walsall win is a bit like hoping for a sunny weekend in Winter now...
Whalley, Bonser, Hutchings, O'Connor - why won't you see what is staring you in the face???????
And when we do look for a new manager (when it is too late) we will look in car lots and bowling alleys for another Mullen or Sorensen. What is the point again can someone remind me?

Agreed, 2-0 to Carlisle. 400-500 from Cumbria will 'swell' the crowd to 3,000 +.

Re: Carlisle United (H) League 1 Saturday 20/11/10.
i do think that this game will be the start of something new at the Banks's so i'm going to say 3-0 Walsall with a fabulous hat trick from the outstanding Dickinson.
Just messing, we'll get battered to pieces most likely so i'll go 1-4 with Reid to get our seeing as he and Devaney are the only to players that can actually even contemplate going forward with the ball.
Hutchings to say that we were unlucky because we scored a goal and then to say that hopefully in the next match we can turn the corner with a win.

There are problems, I am not denying that, otherwise we would not be bottom.

And the problems stem from? (not a dig, just curious where the blame lies).

Everyone has to share the burden, the board, the management, the players and the supporters.
I think looking at this season players have to burden much of this, they've underperformed and lack confidence. The only thing that breeds confidence is winning, lets hope Tuesday was the start of better things.

We all hope that mate, the thing that seperates us is expectation.
Unfortunately the performance on Tuesday would suggest that not a lot has changed.

Get out of our club, get out of our club, Hutchings you [mod]head, get out of our club!
Best anti Hutch chant going, sounded great on Tuesday night. :D
Doubt theirs any planned protest though mate, just go and make your feelings known inside then gather outside, people will stop and join in.

I'm sure the usual suspects will be outside the doors.
But even if we win what bigger show could happen than to protest again.

I'm going to this one my dad wanted to go Tuesday but I was too cold :)
So I said I'd take him today.
I reckon a marginal 1-0 win, as CH calls in sick and i'm given the chance to manage.

How anyone can see us winning this is beyond belief.
We are bottom, and playinga team 4th from top. We struggled to beat a team from the conference!
We have zero chance of winning, anyone thinking otherwise needs to come back to reality.
Walsall 0 Carlise 3.

I can see the light!
at the end of that LONG LONG tunnel!
If we all hold hands, and step into the light!
We can win 1 to the 0.
Can I get an AMEN?
