Davies off with Injury. Doesnt want to come off apparently, about time we had people like that in our side!

Shades of Tony Barras, Graeme Forbes and others - EXACTLY the sort of player you want in your side!!!

To be fair both sides have had good chances, no idea how it's still 1-1.

1-1 FT
Better second half by the sounds of it - probably a fair result judging from the commentary.

Is`nt the BBC great, Danny Green takes a shot at his own keeper. ! Plus Hutchings persists in thinking MacDonald is a match winner. ?

So... we limp on to the next match and no movement up the league table.
Hutchins will be positive about the result no doubt..... ... but something has to change .....

Nothing will change at the minute.
Hutchings thinks his tactics are fine and if we lose it's because we're unlucky.
The loanees will enable us to scrape draws and maybe get the odd win but when they go we'll still be stuck with a threadbare squad and Hutchings.
Can't see Bonser acting until after Xmas and by then it may be too late if the rot has set in.

A point away from home. Not bad. You guys who want more are in serial denial. We have home gates of 3000, Bonsor is NOT, repeat, NOT going, neither, for that matter is Hutchings. This is how it is. Get real!!

Well, in that case, expect those 3,000 crowds to plummet further.

It's out of our hands, we know the answer, only Bonser can provide it, but he can't or won't see it or act on it, so the decline will continue.
Well run club??? What a joke that phrase is these days!

Re: Dagenham and Redbridge (A) League 1 Saturday 16/10/10.
Was actually an enjoyable game today .
I thought that they would out battle and out muscle us having heard a bit about them but it was actually about 50 50 on that score.
A draw was a just result in the end , and to be fair both teams were looking for the win towards the end.
Very little football on display ; some occasional glimpses from us and you cant help feel that we had more ability if we could have got more passing going .
No stand out performances and no total shockers , but special mention for :
Andrew Davies - what fans love to see- passion. Simply refused to come off the pitch despite the substitution getting right to the stage where Clayton had nearly picked up his marker and the announcer had made it formal. Made the most of his extra few minutes on the pitch by blocking a near certain goal bound effort
Brain - yes Brain . Still seems to emit nerves around him and didnt augur well that Kearns was conducting a full on coaching session before the game BUT save of the match in last 5 mins , and great to see his reaction to it.
Devaney - our main threat and a cool finish
Fans - good lively turn out .
Nice move by us in last couple of mins leading to Reid ( I think, was at other end ?) hitting the post after what looked like a mis hit, leading to an agonising second or two of is it in or not? But they hit the bar and had a couple of extremely close misses - one header grazed the post and Davies' block ..
Second half better than the first . Frustrating in that I am sure we had twice as much talent on the pitch and didnt win . Good to see Jonah back , hopefully will start next week to give Gray a kick up the Harris.

It ain't anybody's job to find the answer but the owners. If he wants continued custom it's up to him to provide a product they are willing to pay for. Trouble is, he ain't that bothered.

Re: Dagenham and Redbridge (A) League 1 Saturday 16/10/10.
I've been today in the Daggers end with a mate.
Too poor teams, but was an enjoyable open game. Both teams will think they should have won.
I was a bit disapointed with the hoof from the back played way too often.
If we could have got a grip in centre midfield, and moved the ball wide where we had them under pressure, then we would have won.
Ratings -
Brain - Few good saves. Beaten easily by the free kick that hit the bar and maybe could have done better for the goal.
Lescott - So so.
Smith - OK
Davies - Battled hard, especially when injured. Do wish he wouldn't foul the player before the challenge as he will come unstuck. Hope injury not too bad.
McGiven - Got forward well, good headed clearances, should have been tighter to the winger for their goal. SHould have scored with free header.
Devaney - MOM - Took goal well, carried the ball well was a constatnt threat. Good effort in the first half, if only someone had followed in on the keeper. Hope we keep him.
Davis - Huff and puff, no real inflence.
Richards - Seemed very slow today, tidy but did not get on the ball like usual.
Gray - Waste of space, to be honest. Started ok but drifted out of the game too easily.
Macken - Worked hard again, linked up play well.
Reid - Should have won the game, weak shot with right foot in the first half, free header in the second and kneed ball onto post late on.
Subs
Jones - Didn't get into the game.
McDonald - Looked more like the player of last year.
They were there for the taking, keeps Hutch in a job for another week!
Need a win next Saturday before the real teams come to town!!!

Isn't that the point? We're not.
They are in the bottom 4. They are one of the worst teams in the league. In order to be above the worst teams in the league, you need to beat the worst teams in the league. A point is an abject failure, and we should not be happy with it. If we were mid-table, winning some games, and we only got a point - fair enough, you can;t win them all. But this was a must-win, a six-pointer.
Just not good enough.

I'm more concerned at home form. Happy with a point but I'd have been happier with three. Happy because relative form speaks volumes - there's no easybeats when you're considered one yourself, so happy to grab a point at their place, thanks very much, especially coming from behind and not conceding a late loser due to one slight mistake.

I suppose i'm happy with the point but it was very unconvincing but the sounds of it. Also Glad Devaney scored but still relegation looms.
Would have liked to see the 50 Saddlers running towards the tunnel at half time.
