I think I'll attend to mark the 35th? anniversary since I first went to Rochdale. Apart from that I can't think of a good reason other than habit.

And hopefully the same result as all those years ago. 1-0 to the Saddlers!

Huzzah!!
ps The grounds a little different from then, I stood under a wooden stand on a terrace of steps made from ash and a few planks fixed upright. The stand roof had long pieces of wood hanging down which were 'playfully' torn down by a few Walsall fans and thrown towards the opposition until a solitary policeman wandered over and politely asked them to leave a few for the next visitors! When we scored there was a cloud of dust/ash caused by the jumping up and down celebrations, followed by a charge to the home fans who were sheltering under the home end shed. Fortunately good sense? by the leaders of this charge led to a gradual slowing down to a walking pace and a disorderly retreat to the top of a large mound of earth. I was not part of this disturbance you will understand, I'm far too civilised
By the way, for our younger followers, football violence or the threat of it was the norm in those days, it always seemed part of the adventure of going away, club colours were always scarves as opposed to shirts nowadays.

Rochdale 2 Walsall 3 amazing turn round after dire home performance , win keeps Hutch in job for another week or two , clueless at the back but somehow Rochdale fail to take advantage . Walsall goals Smith header from corner and two shocking own goals by Dale . Brain fails to take any crosses in the air .
Sadly I might be wrong with score .... and who wins ...!!!!

Because I am sad and got no life, I was just reading about Reuben Reid on Wikipedia. Apparently he was booted out of his loan spell at Rochdale after an "incident". Lets hope he wants revenge on Saturday :)

Rochdale 1-1 Walsall
Blazing and the minibus crew to get stuck in the queue in the Wilbutts Lane chippy, emerging with no orange chips just before half time to find the minibus has been ticketed for parking in a resident zone. Four more tickets to be given before they get out of the aptly named Cemetery Hotel.

One thing about hutchings teams, just when you start to think we are the worst team in the world, we'll get an away win.
Can't see it for the life of me, but it's been happening for 18 months so i'll predict it here Rochdale 1 Walsall 2 (Gray and Macken)

Agree with score and yes, I believe he will.
Love the walsall in 'lower case' is that indicative of our 'defeatist' mentality?
:(
Was more to do with the fact I was posting it on my phone and couldnt be arsed with making sure everything was correct

Delighted Rochdale have finally come up to League 1, this will be a really tough away trip, Dale will be full of confidence after beating Southampton....but Im feeling optimistic so a sneaky 0-1 for The Saddlers, Macken to score.
Would be nice to get a decent atmosphere going and enjoy the day out, how many Saddlers do you reckon we'll take?

Don't know why but I think we'll have a few more than that for this one.

I think a 2-2 draw, with a few more Saddlers than normal, approximately 250.
