To be fair, he only had 2 tentacles on Spain and lot of floating around in between in the snippet I saw.
2-0 would be a goal avalanche in Spanish terms.

I honestly can't see anything other than a german win but I'll be rooting for Spain.
3-1 to the krauts after going 1 down to a Torres strike that instils a false sense of hope in the spainards before falling apart at the seems.
Holland WILL be crowned champions of the world.

Germany are certainly missing Muller/Mueller.
Spain have sussed out Germanys midfield though to be fair, although Germany are starting to get into it. Once Germany score it'll be a 3 or 4 nil. More Spain attack the more Germany play there fantastic counter attacking football.

Spain were amazing in the second half!
Germans completely outclassed.
Spain to beat Holland in the final. Probably another 1-0.

And another nation will equal Englands single World Cup win.
I'd rather it was the Dutch than the greasy Spanish.

Spain is liking watching Arsenal.
They want to walk the ball into the net every time they get it.
It may look but it gets so predictable and boring.

Boring?
Spain played the ball around wonderfully, and although the shots on goal may have been fewer than we would have liked, the build up play was brilliant, reducing the omnipotent Germans to running around like headless chickens.

Yes, but you can't beat the 'crash, bang, wallop' of the Premiership, proper entertainment that is  .

You will find most teams that play ridiculous amounts of passing, boring and predictable football win nothing.
Ask Arsenal!
Oh and Neil, explain to me how they scored the winning goal again!

These people don't look very bored...
And if being predictable means being European Champions and World Cup finalists, then bring it on.

The prem is of course great to watch if you're a Chelsea or Man Utd fan because you get to watch your team win most matches, albeit against poor oposition most of the time.

And therein lies the problem. While people continue to laud the Premiership in the way that you do, the national side will continue to struggle and our players will continue to fail at the highest International level. Perhaps one solution would be a number of our top players playing in the Spanish or Italian League for a sustained period, so they can get regular practice in playing the non-Disneyfied football that you call dross. I won't hold my breath though.

But Spain are not that brilliant.
The games I have seen them in anyway, they lost to Switzerland, struggled to beat a 10 man Chile team.
Didnt do anything exceptional against Portugal or Paraguay.
Or have I missed something?
If people want to go on about a team, how about Holland. Who all bar 1 game have scored 2 in every match. Thats enterntaining, is it not?
And as for calling the Premiership dross and then saying our players should go to Italy, that as got to be biggest joke of all time. Italian football is useless! And the Italian team even worse than England!
I would rather watch netball then Italian football!
And tell me again.... what football produced Spains goal last night...........

Re: Germany v. Spain Semi-Final 7/7/10
And just look at the stats from last night.
Spain 63% possession, Germany 39%
Shots on target, Spain 5, Germany 4!!
Corners, Spain 7, Germany 6!!!
So for all that possession, they managed to produce and extra shot on target and an extra corner!
WHOOOOOOPPPPEEEEE!!!!!

Re: Germany v. Spain Semi-Final 7/7/10
Sheff - firstly, I tend to agree with you about Spain - they are not as good as they were a couple of years ago in Euro 2008. My issue is your premise that Premiership football is of better quality. It may well be more entertaining in some ways, but football is surely about things other than just entertainment: like skill, patience and retaining possession.
Secondly, I want Holland to win too! Although not of the ability of previous Dutch sides in terms of individual talent, they do play as an effective unit, and should have won at least one of the World Cup's in the 1970's. It is simply their historical turn.

I did want Germany to go on and win the whole thing, but now I have to back the Netherlands... not too keen on Spain.
However critical we are over either of them though, they still got further than us didn't they?
