Indeed. Make it 12 and a bit years. Also, the lowest in the division tonight. Not bad when you are 9th in the table  .

Bottom division attendance rate, that's where we will end up if this trend carries on the next couple of years

You've got to be doing something a bit special to manage that - it's no mean feat.

It is just embarrassing, even with all the "big" clubs around us.
Especially when an average Luton Town home game has 7,000 in the Blue Square
We might be there soon, just not with the 7,000

Aye, we will have to get used to a smaller playing staff budget and maybe smaller budget on the youth set up.
Just hope that next season the manager can turn it around league wise and we progress well and get some bumper cup games.

Last season they were averaging five & half to six thousand at home.
Not bad for a team starting on minus 30 points

Ah well, roll on next game. Time for a Glenmorangie to help shift this stinking man cold.

Yep, and fair play to them. Considering how badly that club got swindled financially.

There's going to be a lot of hand wringing on here over that attendance figure in the next few days - and rightly so. On another thread Mr Ravenscroft said that it was important to build on the win at Leeds if only to entertain the fans who would be brought back in after our mini-resurgence. But after the numbers we got through the gate on Saturday and tonight they're not coming back, are they? To paraphrase David "Dave" Cameron, we cor goo on loik this. I'd suggest that there now needs to be a sea change in the attitude of fans. We should stop worrying about whether Hutchings is up to it, or why we're not nearer the play-offs and simply admit that with our attendances anything other than relegation should be considered a successful campaign.

Re: Yeovil Town (H) League 1 Tuesday 23/2/10.
I can stomach losing at home to Yeovil. After all, they are at the moment a club with similar resources and similar crowds to us [well, they do get better attendances, but then everybody bar Hartlepool do :( ]. What I can't stomach is barely registering a shot on target at home in 90 minutes when you consider that we have won three out of the last four and won at Elland Road only a week ago.
I know we have a small squad, and I know we fielded a weakened team tonight, but you have to question the ability of the management team to get the best out of them and motivate them properly. Sure, the players have to take some of the blame, but it is clear that Hutchings is simply a sub-standard manager.
I await the views of those who were there with interest.
