The First Half began evenly, here Daz brings the ball out defence to set up a Supporter's counterattack...
Gradually, the Old Boy's professional skills began to tell, with neat passing cutting through the defence.
The second goal of the day was a well taken placement by Dean Smith - the Supporters looking a bit despondent...
The Old Boys begin to turn the screw and take charge, the ball being controlled by the dangerous number 9...
A controversial penalty, dispatched ruthlessly.
The Old Boys in full control as continual pressure tells with a succession of corners and flow of goals. Some goalmouth action from the rest of the first half.
Marshy skies one high over the bar (no-one's perfect) - although fans were thrilled to witness the legendary stepover on numerous occasions...

The Supporters threaten early in the second half...
Both teams start brightly as a rainbow marks the end of a light rain shower.
Stout defending by the Supporters denies the Old Boys an early reward.
The Old Boys get to grips with the game again and take control of the midfield.
Mark Taylor slots home a well crafted ball to resume the goal feast.
The Supporters mount a rare attack - this effort going just wide.
Clyde Winjhard was a threat all game and needed constant attention from the Supporter's defence.
The ball nestles in the back of the net again as a player looks on forlornly. Quality will tell.
The Supporters make a breakthrough and a goal! The immediate aftermath as the Old Boy's keeper is left stranded.
Most of the action is still in front of the Supporter's goal however and brave defending is required to keep the score respectable.
Another penalty given by Wiley - but this time the effort is pulled wide.
The Supporters mount more attacks in the second half - the triumpherate of evil: Neil Ravenscroft, Tinned and Pedagogue can be seen looking on in the background.
Another attack, and a cool finish as the ball is squeezed beneath the Old Boy keeper - but sadly ruled out for offside.
An injury as Clyde Winjhard makes a robust but fair challenge on the Supporter's keeper - but the game was very sporting throughout.
The Old Boy's dominance continues - this effort finishing wide of the goal.
The replacement keeper takes everything as the Supporters jealously defend their goal.
However the Old Boys get the last laugh as a sublime chip off the post ends the scoring. Final score 9-1.

Re: Charity match photos 25/10/2009
The game was called to a halt by Alan Wiley and everyone shook hands.
The match had been played in a great spirit of fair play.
Both sets of players showed their appreciation for the fans who had turned out to see the spectacle.
Phil with some of the Old Boy players.......Chris Marsh
Premier League ref Alan Wiley
Clyde Winjhard
Some of the Walsall Old Boys enjoy a well earned pint.
Thanks to all those involved and let's hope lots of money was raised for this worthwhile cause!
