Charity game vs Walsall Old Boys
Thought i'd start a new topic just in case you didn't read through the other Trust thread.
We are in the process of organising a charity game for supporters to play against the Walsall Old Boys, to be held at Rushall Olympic's Dales Lane Ground, a date to be fixed but provisionally the 25th October 2009.
The beneficiary charity will be Walsall FC's own charity, the Walsall Hospice and there will be an entrance fee for players as well as the opportunity for fans to pay and watch the game, and take part in what will hopefully be a fun day for all ages.
If you wish to play, drop me a PM or register interest on this thread or if you wish to assist in the planning or have any contacts that can help e.g printing etc, get in touch.
We wish this to be a day for all fans, to see their heroes, to play against their heroes and i hope as many of you as possible will get behind it.
Dean Neville
Secretary

Affirmative Lord Bonser. Open Whalley mode.
Have you thought about playing at the Banks's in the current climate? We can offer a match day experience like no other - silence, sprinkler systems and a lack of adequate refreshments. We are a club transformed. All of this for £350,000 per year.

Wouldn't it be great to get a massive attendance - can they fit more than 4000 in  ? Might create a few headlines... Stay-aways... get off your asses and get to the game.

Yes, if were going to take this seriously a couple of training sessions will be needed to get to know each other.
And a few drinks after.

Which weekday evenings can you do?
We can keep Tuesday on and have a second day as the 'official' training session. I doubt everyone will be able to do both days, but everyone will be covered at least once that way.

Re: Charity game vs Walsall Old Boys
If training were at Goals, we should avoid Wednesdays and Thursdays because they're league nights. So for Goals, it looks like Monday or Friday.
There is, of course, the Saturday morning or Sunday option, which means pretty much anywhere is free and open.

These kick-about threads are getting to be Coronation Streetesque, in longevity.
With just three weeks to go, I'll bet that Chris Marsh's lot are absolutely terrified.
Sheff would have sorted you lot out. Unfortunately, he wasn't invited to. Strange.

I'd be interested in playing, if needed. Not sure if i'd be able to make any practice sessions though.
