where the hell are they going to get 15minutes of highlights from?!?!?

As for the game:

We started off well, scoring within 30 seconds. We carried on fairly well, but as the first half went on Oldham started to get back into the match. They equalised right before HT which was a good time for them.

2nd half, Oldham started off the better team but it was realy quite a flat second half. It evened out and ofcourse with Walsall, in an even game at home, the away team gets the winner.

A draw probably would have been fair in my opinion, but without our two main strikers, we didn't realy threaten upfront.

My MOTM was Manny Smith, solid at the back again. He realy has come along way this season.

Not bad for a useless donkey who'll never be good enough like many big gobbed supporters were saying just a few months ago. It's amazing what a run of games can do for confidence and adjusting to a new level.

Gilmartin anyone?

How many stayed around for the lap of apology (sorry, honour). When I left the ground a few minutes after the final whistle there looked to be about 50 fans left. Why do they bother with these tings in season like we've just had? I'd rather stand on Bezla train station 10 minutes longer than wait to applaud the players.

The club should organise a fans on the pitch day so those fans with a small brain can have a run on the grass and enjoy themselves running around probably not thinking very much, this should happen in June sometime

Indeed they should Ken, just as the weather is warming up and the new grass is growing nicely, they could remove all the "keep off the grass" signs just for a fans' day. :D

Don't come back in August (with apologies to Oasis)

Slip into your seat at the Banks
You'll be sure to give thanks
To see the Saddlers score
You say you're staying away
Won't go on match day
'Cause you're feeling sore
So you start your Saturday revolt
Stay away, hang up your green coat
Go to church start rubbing that brass
Go away to North Wales
Maybe shop at homestore sales
You ain't ever gonna see the Saddlers
So Geoffrey won't go
He knows he feels low as he's walking on by
His soul slopes away
"I won't come back in August"
I hear you say

Perhaps we should ask the Labour party to organise it and then call an election immediately after to cash in on the 'feel good factor'?

With an overall feeling of disappointment at the end of this season, I am already looking to the season ahead. It will be interesting to see who Hutchings brings in over the closed season and to see the comments and general feeling with a fresh start.

Hopefully the number of people who bothered to hang around for the lap of shame will make the players, management and board realize just what a disappointment this season was. Not only did we never threaten to challenge for the play-offs, but we managed to finish below where we did last season despite appearing to have (and being assured that we did indeed have) superior resources.

If I thought that the club were serious about the players not coming out until all of the fans were off the pitch I'd've taken a tent and camped out there until they gave up and went home.

Mind you, I went to see Reading tonight and they were pitiful. If a team as poor as that can reach the Championship play-offs then we can hold off on the razor blades for a while!
