Obviously, CH and MOC aren't as good as we all thought. A late goal on Tuesday reminiscent of the JM era, and now this!

Disgusting scoreline - is this our worst home result since the Coventry game 5 years ago? They had better go out fighting on Tuesday night - people could be paying up to £60 to see these three home games, they deserve much better.

First time I've left a game 15 mins before the end since the end of the Coakley period, it was that bad.
Totally embarrassing defensive performance, particularly by the two hapless, leaden footed full backs who should be ashamed to call themselves footballers, although they had little protection in front of them.
I said after the Southend game we need a major clear out. Of that side I would only retain Jabo, Deeney and Smith the rest should be released and Hutchings be allowed to bring in his own players for the start of next season.
Roll on Tuesday.

Just back from that debacle- it was horrendous.I can take loseing to Leicester who quite clearly are at the top of the table but Rovers are beneath us.
Words cant describe how inept we were - I mistakenly thought with a back four of Boertin, Gerrard, Smith and Weston defence would not be a problem - how wrong I was.
There is def something wrong with Gerrard - his body language again quite clearly shows he doesnt want to be there - I want him gone because if his discontent is spreading in the dressing room then get rid.
Those players today were a disgrace to the shirt - I dont know what has gone on but something is clearly wrong.
I expect Hutch and O Connor to kick some asses - get theM in for training tomorrow and I expect a result on Tuesday to play for their pride.
Today was a disgrace - one shot on target all match!!!!

We are an absolute disgrace at the back, and were rubbish going forward i saw 1 bloke with any idea today zaaboub the rest utter dross, I still wont let anyone tell me Troy Deeney is a good player, Hughes he must be on the highest wage id get rid of him now, Weston had a shocker, Jabo !? completely non-exhistant he turns himself inside out and when he gets the ball in space the first thing he heads for is the corner flag the goal is where your ment to be heading jabo.

Re: Bristol Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 14/3/09.
how the hell can you play like that at home! it was like playing against leicester. they was quicker stronger and wanted it more. i left 10 mins from the end. Who got man of the match in the end? i dont think any player deserves it. and what was weston doin. he could not pick a pass. how hard is it to pass a ball when under no presure to a player that has no-one around him? he made it look very hard. ill stick my head out and say we missed ricketts. Hughes is ment to lead by example. he got stook in sometimes but he is ment to be a play maker, not to go side to side or backwards.

Plus point today,
The decision not to name a man of the match.
They wouldn't have dared.

An absolute disgrace. I can take losing but what I can't take is my team rolling over and just letting it happen. If it wasn't for Ince, it could quite easily have been 10 or more. For me, the only players to come out of game with any sort of credit are Ince for keeping the score vaguely respectable and Smith, who showed a commitment sadly lacking throughout the rest of the team.
The lack of impact of the players from the bench just goes to show how much work there is to be done come the summer.

Not exactly the type of result the club needed, coinciding
with the early bird sales announcement.

I feel for Mannie Smith, a young inexperienced player having to play with 3 clowns

Re: Bristol Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 14/3/09.
the team needs sorting out. i hope still now (17:44 according to my computer) hutchings is still there giving them a going over. Some players dont deserve to wear there shirt. they should play with pride and how many players out the 11 did that today? appart from smith & ince everyone was useless. we am in need for new faces. to put presher on the players that play every week (e.g gerrard, mattis, deeney) so they dont get to relaxed and play like they did today!

Re: Bristol Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 14/3/09.
The only saving grace today is that someone had the common sense to realise it wouldn't have been a very good idea to announce a Man of the Match - unless I missed the announcement due to the non-stop cheering from the Gasheads as yet another ball hit the back of the net!
If the first two goals were comedy defending then the fourth was a farce; their fifth was a cracking finish, though I though he was just off-side when he went through.
Though none of our players had a game to remember - if that's not too much of a statement of the obvious - I was very disappointed with Gerrard's attitude in the second half. He'd just taken the Captain's armband from Hughes a few minutes earlier and when a Rovers player ran at him and beat him over 10 yards he started moaning at players in front of him. I stuck up for him earlier in the season when fans were having a pop at him at the end of one game but I think he needs think a bit more before letting rip at others.

Truly awful, the only highlight of the day was us cheering the 3 shots we had (all at the end) and then the hilarious "your not singing anymore" at them... that sums up being a Walsall fan for me.
The game... least said the best, truly awful - especially Weston and gerrard. No man of the match award tells it's own story.

Re: Bristol Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 14/3/09.
to be honest there third and last goals was good.both by lescott. is he joleon lescotts brother or cuzin?
but the first goal was terrible defending and what was boetain doing?
second goal, boetain out of position and got caught.but smith could of closed him down instead of running into the box.but hes a kid and will learn from his mistake.
so there was no man of the match  should of gone to smith in my opinion. he tried and had 3 defenders that did not know the head from there arse
great support though. when we had a shot and everyone cheered like we scored  no matter how many we lose by walsall fans will always have there sence of humour. A little like against leiscter city

I think you MUST be the only one. How can any fan find a 5-0 home defeat amusing? The only word I can think of that is appropriate is "embarrassing".

Not often I say this, especially of fellow supporters, but what hysterical drivel!
However jocular, people who want Palmer and Mullen back must on crack or something (I haven't even looked to see who said it)
If you can't spot silly season happening today, there's no hope for you.
Things will be different on Tuesday.

Who said they want Mullen back - I certainly dont.
I expect today to be a one off - like i said I expect a different attitude and application Tuesday evening.
I have faith in Hutch and O Connor - but I think a lot of personnel need to come/go in the close season.
