Hartlepool United (H) League 1 Saturday18/10/08
A look at our visitors last 6 league games
Millwall-away-lost 0-2
Cheltenham-home-won 4-1
Oldham-home-drew 3-3
Leicester-away- lost 0-1
Swindon-home- drew 3-3
Nortampton-away-lost 0-1
Hartlepool are sitting 16th in league 1 on 11points , I'm certain we'll be hearing from our friends at the Bunker over the next week.
For me this game can't come quick enough a great chance to get back to winning ways.

Danny Wilson was sat next to me yesterday, along with Davey Jones. I beat after watching us against Posh he's quaking in his boots at the thought of coming here next week

Troy Deeney may have his faults, Ned - but that's just plain harsh!

Walsall 2 Hartlepool 1. A quickfire brace from Troy Deeney delighting a large section of the Walsall fans in the bleak mid second half. A late consolation for Hartlepool, turns into genuine concern when the 4th official indicates 10 added minute. ASBO clears off the line twice in said 10 mins as the monkey hangers throw everyone forward.
Dancing Saddler to mark her return with a 82nd minute streak across the pitch in a white bra :D

Have you been drinking? And on a Monday night as well, tut tut. The only bit of that likely to happen is the last line. :D

We really could do with winning this one with Leicester and Leeds coming up which will really test our resolve as promotion contenders. Hartlepool aren’t on a good run at the moment so I can see us beating them by the odd goal.

Walsall 2 - 1 Hartlepool
Mattis & Ibhere to score, Taundry to hit the stand with an effort, Ricketts to grin when missing a chance, Gerrard to shout at no one in particular, Bradley to not play.
James 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!' Brown to score for them, set up by Bob Monkhouse, Kevin Kyle to play like a lamp post.
4587 in attendance, not including Boomtastic Big Baz.
that is all.

I think (or hope) we'll win 2-1. Ricketts & Ishmel for us, Kyle for them.

Re: Hartlepool United (H) League 1 Saturday18/10/08
With both teams really needing to avoid defeat and the fact that our home record is P6 W3 L3 D0, I think ASPS may be right. My guess would be a score draw though because as much as I expect us to score, I also expect us to concede. That said, we're more than capable of winning this and their form of 1 win in 6 (as Dave pointed out) could mean we take all 3 points. Win, lose or draw, a tough afternoon awaits.

Re: Hartlepool United (H) League 1 Saturday18/10/08
I would love to be proved wrong but Palmer on the left wing and Deeney on the right wing ay never gonna work is it? (Unless it's a 4-3-3 with Troy up top and Taunds on the right.)
Good news that Jabo's playing though and our defence ought to be good enough.
01 Ince
02 Weston
04 Roberts
05 Gerrard
03 Boertien
19 Deeney
14 Taundry
08 Mattis
07 Palmer
09 Ibehre
10 Ricketts
