Wolves (H) - Friendly - 29th April 2008
Sorry Duke... I know you couldn't bring yourself to start this thread, though I'm sure you will be there on the night o show your support
I can only hope that some of the Ex-players turn up - we might stand a better chance with them in the side. It will be interesting to see how many McCarthy plays in their position.
Walsall 7 - 0
PS - can someone make sure the goalmouth is well rolled if Jimmy is to make another appearance for us against the dingles!

No such thing as a wolves 'friendly'.
A wolves 'not quite so unfriendly' is a possibility though.

A so so game.
Started off with more or less the best XI. Sansara at left back, plays a decent long pass but wasn't really tested. It was our usual, half arsed performance of recent weeks. Too many people pretending to look busy with a vacum in the midfield. Betsy the best player.
Second half. Mart O'Connor quality. Keatesy good. Ade Viveash bit of timber round the old waste line but quality. Super Don - better than Mooney. Jimmy Whakka didn't wanna get dirty
McDermott - might as well go and Sign for for the WillyWonka FC just a waste of a shirt (again).
That defender Brown, if thats him out of shape and not fully fit then i am really really keen to see this guy get fit and get some football under his belt. He is Humungous. Athletic. Good on the ball. Like him a lot. Hope he signs. Good
Disapointing turn out, good of those that did.

I'd agree with Burnside's assessment apart from his adulation of Aaron Brown. Personally, I thought that he was an embarrassment every time Eastwood ran at him.
Crowd was 1330 and the weather was truly dreadful.

Crowd was about what UI expected - on a sunny evening we might have got closer to 2k. Well done to those that went, I know Darren will appreciate it. Good to see Wacka in a Walsall shirt again - Super don was great too - quality press-ups after each attempt  Adi was knackered after and tryong to avoid my stalking wife

What an appalling crowd. What a shame this couldn't have been arranged as a pre-season friendly when it would have been at least 5k.

Exactly, instead we get the mind numbing fixtures against Villa and Blues. Yawn.

Just a matter of time before this becomes official club policy for competitive games.
