This is - on paper - our easiest fixture for some time with games against Orient, Carlisle, Yeovil and Swansea to come. I think we could do with a win and that will be just the fillip we need with some toughies coming up.

Match will be tougher than it looks on paper.
They have been playing better of late.
Worried about us scoring goals.
Predict a nil nil draw

Re: Gillingham (H) League 1 Saturday 26/1/08.
This especially ,and orient as well, are simply the biggest games of the season so far. We really need 6 points if we want to keep on solidfiying this play off surge. We will lose at swansea ( as we always do regardless of our form), hopefully beat yeovil , and perhaps sneak a point at carlisle at very best. Teams around could be getting 9 points from that period, wheras we may only get 3 or 4. We really need these points.
Its been a good season so far, but i think the lack of goals, drawing effect and in-experience of the squad might not be able to do it when it really matters.
1-1 I think.

Yep. Back to winning ways for me.
3-0. Comfortable home win, with goals from Dann, Bradley and (goal-machine) Sonko.

I'll just take this opportunity to remind everybody of the bet I had with Bernie that I'd hoped everyone had forgotten about - until last week.
I suggested that Sonko would equal or better Mark Wright's stats for last season, despite us playing in a division higher. Last season Wright scored 3 (three) goals and was credited with 7 (seven) assists.
So far, Edrissa 'Goal Machine' Sonko has scored 4 (four - that's one...two...three...(Mark Wright's total)....FOUR), and made 1 (one) assist.
Don't think Bernie and I decided who wins if one total is exceded and the not. :?
Still, 'Mr Sunshine' only really gets going in the good weather.

We should beat teams like Gillingham if we are serious contenders for a play off spot. Hopefully we will have one or both senior strikers back on Saturday. Although we should be more than capable of beating them without them on the pitch. A nice entertaining 3-2 to the Saddlers.

According to the FA website, Dann and Ishy are suspended for 5 bookings.
I'll go 2-0, Roper and Holmes
5432 attendance with 321 from them.

I'm going for a home win, 2 nil I think.
They've signed a lot of non league players I think who have been doing okay for them. But I don't think they've got that lad from Charlton on loan anymore?
Wrack, Nicholls.

Gillingham had their goalkeeper,Simon Royce, sent off last night in the match against Oldham so he won't be able to play on Saturday.

" The Mercian Regiment will have a recruitment bus at the game."
We've a few young U.T.S. members been looking for work.
Let's see how serious they are.

Dann's on the "awaiting suspension" list too, with a start date of Saturday for his ban - so he will miss the game. :(

Re: Gillingham (H) League 1 Saturday 26/1/08.
Perhaps I'm having a "senior moment", but isn't Delroy Facey the chap that got a hat-trick against us when playing for Burnley in those happy days in the Championship?
If Dann and Gerrard are both unavailable I get worried..... I'll go for a 3-2 Saddlers win, our goals to come from Sonko (naturally), Holmes and Wrack.
