ROFL -

But is that there current debt or their new debt?

A club like Forest would have had a major wage bill in the Championship; and coming down to League One their attendances and sponsorship opportunities are going to be hit hard.

Plus, when they start losing matches (League One is a completely different kettle of fish to the Championship as we - and everyone from Wednesday downwards - have found out) they will begin a spiral of despair from their supporters who will keep away thus hitting them even harder financially.

Banks will help failing businesses so long as cash flow is there. Take away the cash flow you take away the bank's incentive to help.

I predict that Forest will go into administration this season, or will come very, very close to it.

Stafflers- our fans didn't stay away in great numbers so why should Forests? I think the game is more middle class these days and thus less fickle. Look at me and you and most of the people on this board to test my theory.

You just have to be a good old middle class English eccentric to wear a suit with bike clips :D

Stafflers have you left the tannoy on full volume after the Coventry? It felt like I'd been to a "Sound System Sound Clash" after the Man U game.

I don't understand everyone's optimism. I'm still very worried about our strikers.
If Matty goes, where are the goals going to come from? Jorge and Darius?
If we had signed a healthy JJ, I would have been comfortable predicting a top six finish.

I agree that we've made some good signings at the back, but we desperately need a left-footed midfielder/winger and a quality striker, otherwise I can't see us above 10th.

How many people are seriously expecting a top 2 finish ?

Are you real ? I seriously think you need to take those rose coloured spectacles off and take a good hard look with clear eyes.

I've heard about letting your heart rule your head, but that's taking it to the limit.

If we manage to scrape a play-off place then we will have had a very good season.

Top two ???

Because Forest are a "BIG" club and their fans expect to go to posh places; not Oldham, Walsall and Chesterfield.

Brought up in a single parent family on a council estate in Bloxwich. Hardly middle class English eccentric - bicycle clips are because I don't know any better

It was a bit ropey at Coventry - normal service should have been resumed at Manure; even if the distortion did make "Dean Coleman" sound like "Joe Broad"

* * Edited to make MMF's post (below) look like he can't spell "bike"! * *

I think Forest may have a wee bit of a shock in this league.

Two points:-

1) When is the closing date for predictions?

2) Speaking as a statistician, may I suggest that the application of Spearman's Rank Order Correlation Coefficient to each of the predictions would be the fairest way of deciding the winner?

I've just noticed something in the MK Don's fan prediction...

"Boss Danny Wilson's first full season in charge should be one of the best for the Dons in recent years."

Recent years? Have MK Dons been established longer than i know of? :P

Can I go for the 'wild card' option of League One abandonment, due to either war, players' strike or boredom?

I've a better chance of success with this prediction than trying to predict 1-24 league places!

Do you know I never decided on a closing date, but now you mention it I'll give everyone the chance until
Monday 8th August.
