Nottingham Forest (H) League 1 Tuesday 4/12/07.
Form Guide Forest last 6 league games.
Cheltenham - away - won 3-0
Doncaster - home - drew 0-0
Luton - away - lost 1-2
Oldham - home - drew 0-0
Tranmere - home - won 2-0
Southend - home - won 4-1
This is for me our biggest game of the season , always enjoy our games against the former champions of europe (thats just for BTH) mainly because we always beat them :D
Forest are second in league 1 , 30 points from 16 games , and win for the Saddlers will see the gap between us close to just 3 points , my word how far we have come from such a poor start.
prediction recent history says a certain home win , I say a exciting 1-1 draw.

Current form suggests a draw, too.
I'd be relatively happy with a draw, but ecstatic with 3 points.
I thought we did a very professional job on Northampton at the weekend. A deserved win. And with a young team!
It was very interesting sitting in the Home end (or side, actually) and to a) keep rather quiet and b) hear it all from the other side's point of view. Everyone should do it occasionally, to retain the famous Walsall objectivity*. I felt quite sorry for some of the very frustrated individuals around me - but quietly cock-a-hoop, too, of course. They flogged all their best players and are now reaping the rewards.
* Like with ALL footy supporters, it's famous for its absence!!

Worra loff! The auto-anti-porn has changed my coc-k to appendage!
Appendage and bull story?
Our appendage and the hens need feeding, dear.
Turn off the stop-appendage, Bill, so we can repair the cistern.
Steve appendaged his head to one side and listened.
What's it coming to (I can write "coming" can I?) when respectable phrases are turned into nonsense.
Perfectly normal phrases actually take on a leery meaning when you change the word coc-k to appendage.
Daft!

Thanks for explaining that :)
I agree. Utterly ridiculous!
Puts the 'teddy bear' thread into some sort of perspective.

I think that is a very fair view - nothing cock-eyed about it at all.
I don't wish to fanny about, so let's call it 2-0 to the Super Saddlers.
I just hope we don't bugger it up now.
[auto anti-porn screener is a real pain in the ass!]

Appendages, both of you.
The reason it's in the filter is because of rampant abuse of an otherwise innocent phrase. You can add it as part of another word, such as cockeyed, half-cocked or stopcock, but on it's own it gave the mods too much trouble thanks to those people who don't think site rules apply to them.

Sorry to spoil a bit of winding-up and banter with our Forest friends, but it can be seen that we are not really Forest's bogey team, historically speaking. They have beaten us several times, including a league double over us in 1999-2000. It's just that they haven't managed it since February 2000! :D

I am sure you have missed a cup game out of recent history there Leamore - as It was away, and I was in the home end with my work mates - we won it 2-0 or 2-1 with Jorge and Junior scoring so must have been 2002-3

I fancy a draw in this game. Probably 2-2...I'd take that.
Hopefully we can have a decent crowd in...because it is the atmosphere which normally makes these games one of the more special. Amazing that alot of Forest fans look out for the Walsall games first because they are normally such good games.

Horrific schoolboy error, Leamore! I started supporting Walsall FC when we were in the third tier under Graydon, prior to our victory at Cardiff. As a result, the 2001/2 season is the first set of fixtures for Walsall v Forest I attended. We've yet to lose since.
Some people like to re-write history. Personally, egocentrics such as myself prefer to deny that there WAS any history before me (or BC - Before Crimson). 8)
:D
