Nah, finished. Could be drawing his footballers pension at his age. :!:
Bonser out.
Cheap signings.
I'm still waiting for the mythical "exciting strikeforce".
Where are the goals going to come from? And unless someone can find me 4 worse teams than us pretty quick I'm going to have a panic attack.
I wonder how Bristol Rovers, Hartlepool etc Cope

Superb win today against a pretty awful side in Huddersfield but credit where credit is due!!
Special mention to-
1) Fox - I think this guy is maturing into a very good footballer. Been critical before about Foxy but hes been different class so far this season whether its been in midfield or at the back.
2) Bradley - I really like the way he gets forward. Was superb challenging up for headers and joining in with Mooney when we got forward today.....
3) Mooney - Again i've been critical of his signing before, but this man has got so much will, determination, and knowledge of the game I think he could prove to be one of the buys of the season on his current form. Keep it up Mooney! Different class.
4) Sonko - Who?? What a player! So much energy for a man who hadn't taken a sip of water,or bite to eat since 4am this morning! Superb, full of running and his finish was sublime.
5) Dobson - Isn't it kind of strange that the lads have been winning since Dobson was put back in the team? Allowed Bradley to get forward when needed and made some really good interceptions, and broke up the play well.
6) Ant Gerrard - Again, this guy is maturing into a very good footballer. People forget that Gerrard and Fox have years ahead of them as pro footballers. He reads the game so well and his desire to push forward for corners and free-kicks is a joy to watch. Its like he's gutted when he doesn't get on the end of a ball! His passion came out when he scored today. Its got to be Dann and Gerrard as first choice at the back now surely?
7)Scott Dann - I'll stick my neck out on the line now and say this guy will be the most expensive player that leaves Walsall in the clubs history. Superb.
8) Weston - Showed today why he's played for Wales at full international level. Defended well, and was also a joy to watch sprinting down the wing and crossing at pace when he could.
9) Ishy - Did well to keep his head today after a bit of a rash challenge on Sinclair, who in my opinion should have gone for his reaction to the foul. Prefer the dreads though Ishy! Had the last laugh when he left Sinclair for dead and got him sent anyway!
10) Mattis -First time ive seen him play but showed great energy, and used the ball well. Looks an interesting signing. Lets hope we can at least get him till January, permanently would be a bad shout after today.
11) Ince - Just noticed i'd mentioned every player who started so had to mention Dr Truman! Claimed all crosses superbly even though he didn't have much to do. Kicked ok aswell today.
All in all the team looks like its got a good balance to it all of a sudden. The chap next to me said today he couldnt believe how well we played after the joke that was Oldham! Long may it continue!

All I saw was Sinclair virtually lifting Ishy off the floor by his collars.
Nearly strangled him, straight red for me.
Yes, but what led up to it? Did Ishy take him to the cleaners or foul him or what? Had they been "seeing to" each other all game?

Glad to see that Martin Butler is being proven to be the indispensible player that he obviously is.
Shame I couldn't have been there today - sounds like we played very, very well. 3 wins a row, and a very winnable game next Friday...What is this? Walsall fans being positive and not criticising the manager?

I think that Ishy stood on Sinclairs foot when he went in for the ball.

It was a foul by Ishy but no malice. I can't believe he didn't react when Sinclair grabbed him. Well done Ishy.
Great performance from everyone but for me Mooney was immense. I'm off down the pub to celebrate.
A hangover awaits in the morning methinks :)

Simply magnificent today. Dominated the game from start to finish, there was no "efficient but dull" play, it was wonderful, fluent, attacking football. No weak players, no weak periods in the game, at no time did we look less than wonderful. Huddersfield didn't supply much opposition, but I think we could have beaten anyone in the league, playing like that. Anyone could have been named man of the match, but Bradley thoroughly deserved it. Him and Mattis gave wonderful, box to box performances, and Dobson completed a very, very good midfield. Mooney was truly outstanding, some of the long-range passing from the centre backs was wonderful - how good to see the long ball used in such a positive manner instead of a "hoof". We haven't played like that since the best days of Colin Lee, and I wondered whether I'd ever see it again. I can't believe how good we were. If we can keep this up, the relegation fears will look very silly indeed.

Excellent performance. Richard Money deserves a lot of praise for the changes he has made.
I never want Walsall to lose, but it looks as if the defeats, particularly the performance against Oldham, have caused a tremendous change in his attitude. All credit to him, because he could have looked for some more old professionals on loan to steady the ship - instead he did what a lot of people would advise him against. He has met a crisis by playing young players, by playing footballers, and by being positive.
It all went wrong for us earlier this season when we were starting with three out of Butler, Carnerio, Sonner, and Hall; and with Wrack and Gerrard both in midfield. DD saw that this was not working after nine matches and has chosen the correct solution. I wonder if we had won some of those early matches, when we had plenty of the play and chances to score, that would have meant Sonner and Butler would still be in the side and most of the youth left on the sidelines.
You tell how good a manager is when he has to cope with a crisis. Richard Money has come through all these problems with flying colours and I really believe that the play-offs are a sensible target now.

I agree, especially with the "change in attitude" towards some of the "I'm too big for this club" brigade.

Brilliant performance, one of the best from a Walsall side in a long time.
I personally think Jimmy Mullen has made a massive difference.
Ask yourself these questions;
How often under Money did we play with two, out and out wing men?
How often under Money have we seen Dobson playing just in front of the defence playing simple passes?
How often under Money have we seen overlapping full backs and scintilating wing play?
How often have we seen Money in a suit?
I think Mullen has obviously brought one hell of a lot to the club [that and the addition of two mobile players in the middle of the park], the all round performance today was simply excellent, and couldn't be more of a contrast to the last home game.
Mullen spent the whole game barking out instructions, and Im sorry to say but we werent 'fine' before, because before, even our away performances weren't this professional. Before, we couldn't string two passes together, before, dobson was finding himself trying to play the final ball, before, we had no pace on the wings, before, wing backs didn't overlap, before, midfield men didn't get up in support of the front men.
There were so many facets of todays performance, and that made the big difference, people forget easily how clueless and one dimensional we have been at times under Money, but with an experienced man beside him we're terrific, we now terrorise teams down the wings, we have money posing a threat, we can keep the ball etc etc.
Superb performance, and in my view shows just how much we were missing two things: An experienced coach/assistant, and mobility in midfield.
