predictions
hoping for an entertaining season culminating in promotion.
here's the facts as i see them.
POSITIVE.
Last Season the goalkeeping problem cost us a lot of points, as did the nervous defence (No suprise with the keepers).
We have sorted out the goalkeeping issue and have what looks like a good defence (from what we saw end of last season, plus westwood).
NEGATIVE
Upfront Joachim (£4500 per week at Burton) converted and made a lot of chances which made us look very good, before that the goals all came from Merson assists.
Who is going to get the goals that will take us up?
Jorge - 5 if he is lucky
Matty - 15 maybe more
Atieno - 5 if he plays
Ruben?
A N Other most likely if he sign's for us

My Mistake "Boston"
£4500 you may not have the same supply source, obviously out of our bracket.
Walsall wouldn't want to pay him that much and I don't blame them.

Boston wouldn't want to pay him that much either and aren't. I know exactly what he is earning as I know a Director at Boston, thats how I know he is on less than £3k and isn't the top paid player.

Boston United have denied speculation new recruit Julian Joachim is on £4,000 a week at York Street.
Pilgrims officials are furious about the claims, which appeared in two daily newspapers yesterday.
Joachim, a former England Under-21 international, arrived from Leeds on a free transfer on Monday to become the Pilgrims' sixth summer signing.
He said he signed for Boston to return to the town where he spent his childhood and where his family still live.
Director of football Jim Rodwell dismissed the speculation about Joachim's wages as a pack of lies.
"It is absolute garbage," he said. "It is fabrication of the highest order.
"I dealt with his contract and can assure everyone he is not on any such amount.
"If anybody can prove he is on that amount I will tender my resignation. That's how confident I am about this story being a complete load of nonsense.
"I honestly do not know where they dream it up.
"There is no way this football club can afford to pay that sort of money. It's just ridiculous."
Pilgrims chairman Jon Sotnick was equally upset. "I am livid," he said. "This speculation undermines everything we are trying to do at Boston."

And then lose 10 points when they lose JJ to a long term hamstring injury, spend more money they have not got to get a replacement, and then go into administration dropping them into the relagation dogfight which they lose and get relegated back to the conference.
Oh well, we can but dream.
