Final position 07/08?

Fri Aug 10, 2007 5:38 am

I was waiting for someone else to set this up this season but nobody has.
Where will we finish this year?

Somewhere around mid-table. I fancy a season watching Walsall with nothing riding on the results at the end. A period of consolidation and stability...

Actually, I want us to storm the league and get a second successive championship.

But mid-table mediocrity would be fine, too!

An up and down season, some encouraging and surprising wins, some disappointing and surprising losses = 12th place.

But then again, if we sign player x....

I have to go for 14th - 20th, but really I think it'll be 12th - 16th.

The worst manager we've ever had got us to finish 14th despite playing a series of clowns in goal, yet mid table mediocrity is now seen as a credible achievement. Since then Money has brought over 20 players to the club and our very promising young players are ready to contribute when required (Dann, Ishy, Deeney, Nichols etc). Anything less than a top 10 position by Christmas must be regarded as failure. Even with Mr Touchy in charge I will be surprised if we don't make the play offs.

OK, I'll bite. 14th place witha squad largely remnant from the Championship, assembled by Lee.

What happened next season, when Emblen, Corica and friends left?

Above half way is realistic.

I hope DD is working on winning every game though just like last year. Expect mid table and that is what you get.

Lets aim for the top. :)

Hope this does not come to haunt me in the coming months

Between 14th -16th. I'll go for 16th as it has not been 'claimed' yet.
