defeat? does that mean you are going?
3-0 same as ever
I ain't going. Got better things to waste 50 quid on
BTW you were right about getting a taxi to/from Walsall last night rather than the train. The last train home was cancelled and we had to get a taxi back. F ooking Central Trains

Can't get there, both Chris and I are stuck due to work commitments. Great shame, we really enjoyed our last visit there, although the pies at the ground were truly appalling, worst I've ever tasted (although in truth they had NO taste to speak of).
Can't see us getting anything on our current form, as they are THE form team of the division right now and absolutely flying, but with our midfield shortcomings we are better playing against teams who play a more open game, and hopefully Pools will do that, being at home. So that will give us the chance to put in a decent performance. Certainly hope so anyway, 'cos a draw there would be a terrific result.
I hope for about 2-2, but expect us to lose by 2 or 3 goals - hope I'm VERY wrong with that though.

1-0 win...
Pools will have the expectancy from their fans because of their great form. The expectancy of knowing they MUST win if they seriously want to catch us and the expectancy of being the home side.
They've got to come out and attack us, and if Roper is back for Gerrard, I'm more than happy to let anyone do that as we're more than capable of nicking things on the break, although I'm hoping we'll start with one of Ishmel/Wright.
1-0 win, Butler. I actually fancy our chances more away from home, against teams who have to come at us, as opposed to at home when the onus is on us.

The game is more important to Hartlepool than it is to us, it is a must not lose game for them, while a defeat would be bad for us it wont be the end of the world.
With the pressure on them a draw is on the cards - be it 0-0 or 1-1
With Swindon playing Rochdale I can staying 4 points clear with only the Franchise managing a win against Macclesfield.

I saw Hartlepool at Shrewsbury a while back, and the one thing I noticed in the way they play is that they're just like us. Their priority is being difficult to beat rather than anything else. This one has the makings of a 0-0 draw, but I'm going to go for an optimistic 1-0 win for us. Keates to score.

Isn't he just
He sits there on Saturday and (quite rightly) refuses to clap a poor performance. Yet still comes on and predicts a win against the third place team.
Wierd logic, but strangely endearing :D

Its amazing how we fear the opposition. Hartlepool are just like us, a well drilled, efficient outfit that have got the defence right and therefore pick up points. I suppose we'll be terrified of Lincoln too, the team that's lost about 10 games this season in this appalling division.
Then there's the dongs, who contrived to lose 5-0 to Rochdale. Not quite the end of the world, because as we all now know that came a week later when we drew 1 each with them.
Win. lose or draw on Saturday it will be another typical division 4 encounter between two teams who weren't good enough to survive in division 3 last season, but who with a few improvements and a bit better organisation will be heading back there next season along with Swindon.
