Torquay United (H) League - Saturday 4/11/06
Hopefully, this topic title won't get altered by someone with a grudge against Torquay, like last weeks was against the MK Dons.
If I want to insult someone, I'm quite capable of doing it myself. Similarly, I don't have a problem if someone else wants to make an insult, but I'd appreciate it if they'd do it under their own name, not mine.
That was a Partly Political Broadcast on behalf of the Mildly Pead-Off Party.
I notice Torquay haven't scored in their last 6 games - that's the 'no goals-against' record out of the window then!

Well if the midfield misfire so spectacularly as last Saturday then there is next to no chance of Butler or Sam scoring (not unless they can bring down a 20 foot high punt, beat 4 defenders and put it in the net).
I know Dobson has got a lot of support on here but I'm sorry to say I've rarely seen anything worth shouting about (I missed the Stockport game). He goes missing for large chunks of the game.
Hopefully Kinsella will be feeling unusually sprightly and we can get a bit of creativity back into the midfield.
It would also be nice if we could occasionally leave at least one player up front when defending corners/freekicks, how are we supposed to build any momentum when the ball keeps coming back at us ?

I agree Mr Roe, I was complaining about Dobson on Saturday only to be given dirty looks by a few people in the F2G Lower. Kinsella really makes a difference to our side and I aint bothered whether he came in for Dobbo or Keates.
I think we will win this pretty comfortably and Atkins will be sacked after it.
Walsall 5 Butler (Its about time he scored), Bedeau, Roper, Keates and Kinsella.
Torquay 0

I was going to change it to 'Turkey United', on account of this being like a turkey shoot according to form. Should be 3-0 or 4-0 to us, so 0-1 it will be then, Roper giving away a penalty against the run of play in the 88th minute after we've had 15 shots saved by their goalie playing a blinder.

Wouldn't surprise me, with the current drop in standards you've had (All about Chelsea)

Wait till "marketplace" becomes "second-hand crapp", and "All About Walsall" becomes "All About ME ME ME". Then maybe I can call the Moderator Forum "Jobsworth Central".

You have your own forum?
Fantastic! Is it all plush and sumptuous like a First Class Lounge or Gentlemen's Club? Do tell! Can you book me in as a guest, just for a quick look around? I promise not to steal anything.
