I would probably turn my eyes to some other team that I have managed on Football Manager/Championship Manager.. or go back supporting the team I deserted when I found Walsall... or maybe turn my eyes back to sweden and follow my favourite team here which is IFK Göteborg

I reckon I'd end up watching most of the local teams for enjoyment.

If I was to pick a team I'd say Albion, same situation as us. A small club pushing above their weight.

As a kid, admittedly a long long time ago, I could have become a Walsall or a Wolves fan, as my father and elder brother would take me mainly to Fellows Park (we lived in Pleck back then, Mom and Dad - now in mid 80s - still do) and occasionally to Molineux.

Walsall became my club, I guess because in those days I was allowed to go to Fellows Park on my own - you could let young kids out in safety in those days - but Molineux was a bit too far to go when I wasn't accompanied.

So if there was no Walsall FC, I guess, and it is only a guess, I'd end up at Molineux when the mood took me to attend a football match.

I'd say though that it's equally likely I wouldn't bother, because NO club could ever replace MY club, if you get my drift. I think once you've established a link to a club, the bond is too great, it's inexplicable really, but I honestly think there's more chance of changing your wife than there is of changing your football team!

In fact Saigon, this is one hell of a fantastic question to answer with any certainty, it really is such a dilemma. What a great idea for a thread mate. :D

can you add a 'no-one' option?

there's just too much connecting you with your own team to ever switch.

there's no other team in the world where since the age of 4 i used to leave my dad & his mates to go & stand with my much loved & now sadly departed grandad for the 2nd half.

how could another team ever mean ANYTHING to me?

Who's got the next closest ground to Park Hall. Villa? It'd have to be a geographical choice, given that I support Walsall as it's my birth-town.

My second team has always been Rangers so I guess it would be them.

I just couldn't ever see myself myself following another English club after 43 years of service to NFFC. I suppose it just wouldn't feel right.

Albion for me I like the racial mix you get at the Baggies. My hope is for Walsall to do the Same. With Black, Asian and White , faces Walsall could become a great club.

i'd probably go off and support west brom, who were my father's team but i prefered the red of walsall.

although i have to say i keep an eye on west ham's results ever since jimmy joined them.

I would not support any other team - it would simply be impossible to do.

In addition. if Walsall moved as far away as MK Dons did from Wimbledon, I would not see that club as Walsall and would not support them.

If I lived back in England I would probably pick the best local match and go to that one as a total neutral (with a strong leaning towards the away team).

But you're already half way to being a saddler BTH!

I might go to Peterborough as it's close to where I live. It would be impossible to give them the feelings that I have for Walsall though.

I'd support Walsall FC at whatever level we started up at, Midland Combination, Unibond or whatever...

If we didn't, then it'd be the mighty Canaries, Hitchin Town.

I would bypass wolves and villa and support the baggies, the supporters there seem ok(without dingle attitudes)
