Oh dear that sounds bad....I hope you soon get better :D As far as Gillingham is concerned I have nothing to say...an awful place with a football team that is usually equally bad. We need a win though so lets hope we get one.

Since Bournemouth got all sorts of silly ideas of grandeur, this has become the most Third Division fixture in the world.
To mark the occasion Joe Edwards, the most Third Division footballer in the world, should play a half for both teams.
Not a pop by the way, being a bang average Third Division player makes him one of our better players right now.
Can only be 1-1 with Edwards scoring for both teams with Peter Hart cancelling out the threat from Steve Lovell whilst a young Steve Bruce does pretty much the same with Alan Buckley.
3,950 in attendance at Fellows Park with the Colonel Bogey March accompanied after match consensus being that it represented a decent point and that Joe Edwards could be the next Kenny Beech.

A vital game and too important for anything other than 'getting behind the lads' and three much needed points. Gills are showing signs of improvement and even won 3-1 away at P'boro the other week. A third 2-1 home victory of the season ( Roberts, Bakayoko) will do in front of a crowd of 4,066 (254 away).

In view of the recent cup exit, an extended run of positive results would be welcomed.

Win or bust. Second time I've said that this season.
If we get a draw I don't expect the board to pull the trigger though. Game in hand will probably be the reason/excuse.

Erm????? with the rest that the players have had, and the extra time JW has had with them on the training ground, the fact that his job is on the line and the Gills are not playing very well themselves and we are at home with the crowd behind us. 0-2 to them

1-1.
3,879 attendance with 326 from Kent
Paul Scally to sit behind the press section wearing a garish blue and white striped tie with the fattest knot imaginable
Pete Waterman to come onto the pitch at half time to wind up the Gills fans and announce Rick Astley and Jason Donovan are lined up for the Xmas party.

Really need a win in this one to put a bit more breathing space between the bottom 4.
Gills picked up a bit recently and had some good results but they're still a big contender for relegation and in the drop zone.
2-1 win. Roberts, Agyei (hopefully) and Ozzy to be too lively for their defence.

Walsall-Oldham for me.
Gillingham went down in 2008.
Steve Lovell was actually appointed their permanent manager today although could be a different one you're on about?

I see Tom Eaves plays foe these and has scored 6 in 12 so he must be stopped.I fondly remember the unmerciful stick he got at Shrewsbury away a few years back.A must win for bus 2-0 Ozzy and Edwards.

I'll go for a surprisingly high scoring game. Even with Bertrand Bossu in our goals they will manage to put a few in.
Walsall 5-5 Gillingham
Walsall
Jason Lillis
Richard Green
Scott Houghton
Paul Smith
Steve Claridge
Gillingham
John Gayle
John Hodge
Darren Byfield
Chris Palmer
Deon Burton
Att: 4124 (231 Gills)

Quite a reasonable assumption, I think the FA Cup defeat to lower League opposition will have been the death knell for many 'maybe I'll go to the Bescot rather than shop with the wife' types.
Gillingham did put 7 past Reading ladies in the Mickey Mouse cup did they not? (though conceding 5 themselves, somewhat like a parks pitch match that one!).
Agree with most on here, this IS 'THE' must win match for Whitney, a defeat will most certainly have the Board calling a meeting on Monday morning.
Come on then Walsall players, play for the honour of the shirt, we are depending on you, don't muck this one up! :?
Come on me babbies, give us something to cheer! :) :)

I would usually agree Cheesy, but maybe not this time as a lot of tickets have been sold in the family stand (according to online ticketing) so there might be another school initiative tomorrow. It's happened for the Gillingham match over the last couple of seasons so this could be the case again.

Changes from the Newport debacle:
Liam Roberts in for Gillespie.
Kory Roberts in for Donnellan.
Bakayoko in for Tyler Roberts.
Bold selections for (you'd assume) such a critical game.

To be fair, Bakayoko has scored in the last two games.
