4-1 Villa because it doesn't matter and has no effect on the team heading into the season. Boot camps though, now that's where we need to send em!!

Losing 4-1 at half time Walsall reflect back to the team building exercise in the Lake District. They come back on to the field with canoes sticks and flint, erect a wigwam in the opposition half filled with busty women to distract JT. Walsall win 5-4

I won't be going until the club invest some of the Bradshaw/ Henry/ Makris and Forde money into some decent players.

Watching on Yowtube - decent performance, Bakayoka missed a good chance. Quite impressed so far considering the 'quality' of the opposition.

Good play through the middle, Baka through on goal............................................puts it wide
Then tries a bicycle kick and completely misses the ball.

Walsall on top at the moment with a good spell of pressure with two corners.

Midfield depth looks dreadfully light in terms of quality.

Excellent last five minutes from Walsall, good passing and procession with Villa failing to get anywhere near the ball!
Well done. :D

At half time and I think we've done okay. Bakayoko really should have scored.

Very good showing so far. The most impressive thing is we're back to the pass and move strategy as opposed to 'beating the press.'
Baka's hold up play has been decent, but really needed to take that chance to prove why he should be starting.

Watching it on YouTube.
Decent half that. Baka should have scored and we've opened them up on a couple of other occasions. Wilson looks like a class act.
The only criticism I'd have is set pieces. Both for and against. We still look dodgy defending them and look toothless at the other end. John Terry at either end maybe a factor.
But overall grounds for optimism.
On a slightly different note, I don't know if Villa sold their allocation. Their bits look full. Given the rows of empty seats in our end, maybe next year we should give them more. Lower Tile Choice maybe?

Decent first half. Movement good and we have got into promising areas. Bakayoko should have scored too. Looking very vulnerable from set pieces though.

The commentary said that they have sold their 2 stands out and there are also some Villa fans in the main stand.

If this is anywhere near Villa's first XI they're not really impressive. However, despite less possession they have created a couple of nervy chances whereas we haven't looked like troubling their keeper. Second half could be interesting......

Also watching on YouTube, and pretty happy with that first half. I actually think Jackson would have half a chance against this Villa back four.
Ozzy is at heart of everything we do in the final third. Cuvelier is looking strong and composed, and Edwards has shown some neat touches. Wilson looks good, and both fullbacks have had their moments too.
This is actually quite encouraging :? ....
