Re: Prediction League 1: 2016-17 Intro & Latest Table
Here is the updated table after the midweek games last night, and such a different scoring week than on Saturday! With some unexpected results, there were only 4 people who scored more than 1 point, and a whole host of blobs! The week's winning score was 4 points, achieved by Tinned - well done mate.
That 4th weekly win of the season sent Tinned up to 3rd in the table and it is pretty tight from 2nd position down, so all to play for!
Saturday's game thread is already up and running.

Re: Prediction League 1: 2016-17 Intro & Latest Table
Seems like I did Maverick a disservice last night (!) so below is an updated table to reflect the correct points scored.
It also meant that Maverick and Tinned were both the week's winners as both scored 4 points - well done!

Updated table after the weekend's (and last night's) games. A pretty low scoring week by all accounts and a few blobs. The top score, and winning the week, was 3 points, achieved by chadsmoor saddler, The Bosted Slab and Canadian saddler - well done you three!
Week 16 is up and running so don't forget to predict before the kick offs on Saturday (as a few seemed to do this past weekend!)

Good. :)
Last week was one of my worst ever as I lost ground on almost everyone, up to 4 points on some! And that's after 10 years + plus this one, plus the aborted original. :?
This week's two point haul is actually the first reversal of fortune, coming 15 games in.
However, I sense the momentum has changed and I'm not actually that far behind (Just look at Saddla :D  )
5 points off 2nd, that's nothing! and after that - who knows!
And 31 or so games to go ...

Updated table after today's games. Despite a few blobs it was generally very good scoring, thanks to the home wins coming off that so many predicted. The week's winning score was 4 points achieved by the following: derbysaddler, Burton Saddler, swampysaddler, Casual D and Me! Well done to us all!
There is no prediction week next weekend as it is first round action in the FA Cup, so we will see you all back with your predicting boots on for Saturday 12th November!

Updated table after the weekend's games. A mixed bag of points for people but the winning score was 4 points, achieved by Asps and reedswood saddler, their first weekly wins of the season - well done you two!
Not much movement in the table but some bunching in the champions league places and a good few weeks can see someone pull away from the chasing pack potentially!
Week 18 is now up and running.

Re: Prediction League 1: 2016-17 Intro & Latest Table
Updated table after yesterday's games. A great week for scoring and from memory one of the best we have ever had! Lots of 3 and 4 pointers and even a couple of 5 pointers, that would normally win any week, but this week we had our first perfect score of the season - a 6 pointer! So, well done to the week's winner - Casual D!
With all the good scores there has been some movement in the table and another chance to keep it going with a full prediction week this Tuesday (22nd) so make sure you get your predictions in. It is already up and running!

Over ... ?
I reeled in 13 points to put the winning smackdown on Whitty Steve a few years ago. :D
And 17 to slide home on my most recent win, and that was from December. :D
I'm up to 7th and haven't even got a single 4+ yet. Plenty of legs left in this, and there's some just 9 points off.

HA! Oh brilliant. I am the most consistent and most successful predictor OF ALL TIME.
I've yet to miss a single prediction week in ELEVEN YEARS and my enviable record includes:
2 unshared WINS (unmatched by anyone else)
3 seconds (not one of which was a slippage from 1st, unless you count January)
2 thirds
4th, 5th
Over 10 seasons, you do the maths ... 8)
The only way I will fail to finish above you is if I am crushed by a falling piano or fall victim to a freak yachting accident.
Added to which my road to glory is paved with the skulls of defeated and dismayed predictors, who tried to match me and slipped into the abyss of bitter and ignominious failure, drowning in the gluttony of their own hubris. Whitti Steve, Manchester, Aldridge Saddler, Fray Bentos, Sheff ... to name but a few noisy predictors who dared to stray too close to my orbit before being blasted apart in a shattering series of high scoring weeks.
I will devour your prediction persona and use your upturned skull as a drinking cup, feasting upon your dismal form and bathing in buckets of your disappointment.

I haven't got a clue what you could possibly mean mate!!
There hasn't been this much sibling controversy on UTS since 'Ellison-gate'!!
Tbh, I think both of us are just as surprised that we are up at the top but if people keep employing the crazy 1-1 tactic and getting 3 blobs in a row, what can we do?!!

Updated table after last Tuesday's games. Not bad scoring and no-one fired a blank, unlike the not-so-super saddlers at Spotland, but the winning score was 4 points, achieved by The Bosted Slab - well done!
Not a whole load of movement in the table but 1 or 2 are moving slowly up into the top third!

 The crazy tactic (briefly) got me to my highest ever position. It does seem to have cost me recently. Similar to a certain League 1 manager I can't seem to change my tactics even though it's obvious to everyone else it's no longer working :D

Re: Prediction League 1: 2016-17 Intro & Latest Table
Updated table after Saturday's games and a pretty low scoring week to be honest - only 6 predictors with 2 or more points!
The winning score was 4 points, achieved by swampysaddler - well done!
We are nearly halfway through the season and there is still a long way to go so keep up the predicting. We have a week off this Saturday thanks to the FA Cup so see you all again for week 21 on 10th Dec.

And Cully wins this year's 'where's Saigon??? HAHA' award. :D
Finally a bit of form, but still no 4+ hauls. Still good enough to effortlessly glide past Cully and Exile. :D

Updated table for week 22 (this weekend).
Still pretty poor scoring and the winning score was 3 points again - well done to Welsh Saddler, Old Penk Saddler (2 weeks on the bounce!) and Saigon Saddler (inexplicably his first weekly win of the season...gasp!! )
Next week is the boxing day fixtures - the thread is up and running. Watch out for the festive fixture weeks as they come thick and fast over the week or so - keep checking UTS to make sure you don't miss a week!

Updated table after week 23 (boxing day games). Generally good scoring although a couple of blobs (obviously too much over indulgence for some on Christmas Day!) and the winning score was 4 points, achieved by 3 predictors - swampysaddler, saddla and Andy_Petterson. Well done to you all!
A little bit of movement in the table and some bunching up happening in the top half so all points are crucial as we head into the second half of the season. There are plenty more festive points at stake with games on the 30th and 31st Dec as well as a full fixture list on 2nd Jan. Check out the threads and get your predictions in!
