Correct.... I mean, he told Lee that he could talk to Plymouth (allegedly), then promply sacked him (allegedly) for doing so!!

I take these statements from Bonser all with a pinch of salt

If this is true why has JB made a statement asking the fans to get behind the team and Merse for Sat game, seems a bit odd really.

May be he has been sacked, but it won't be announced until next week when Bonsor has his replacement ready to step in. Maybe they are hoping we'll beat Scunthorpe and Merson can leave on a high note?

Wasn't Graydon sacked and Lee installed almost immediately?

It sounds like a replacement has been found. Either way if he's sacked Merson won't be there on Saturday. He's not the sort to keep up pretences. Not when the pub is open.

Something like this was mentioned earlier on. That the deal for merson to leave may have been done, but to save face, it will be done in the manner of merson resigning after saturday's match.

It sounds like it could be something like this. We wouldn't have had the Bonser quotes today if he was going to sack him today. There must be some sort of agreement with Merson to leave, and a replacement is being sought.

Maybe he's going on a bender-starting tonight-and that has nothing to do with Coxy's allegations :)

All in all, something very fishy is going on. I trust MMF and Joly, and something very strange is going on. Not the way a club should be run.

Lets just hope we get a man management expert in because we need a hell of a rebuilding job doing, and the players confidence is gonna be so low

i can swear on what i heard, mersons associate saying to him, "jeff said he's getting the new guy in" or something along those lines. at which point it got dodgy as a few "big" guys came outside to almost form a ring around him.

i waited for pedro and wfc 4eva to turn up then left, mostly because i forgot my money and was starting to look dodgy!

True.

On the other hand though, as we were lead to believe, Bonsor fairly publicly said Lee could talk to Plymouth.... you know the rest.

Let me guess MMF, you've got a mate, who's sister's brother, lives round the corner from the uncle of the glass collector.

Pedro has only lived in Stonnall his entire life, but he probably went to the wrong pub, knowing him...
