No matter what the eventual outcome of tonight's match, what is worrying is that we should struggle against a team like Chesterfield (who aren't exactly uprooting any trees in our division) we cannot continue to rely on super Tom being injury free in order to cement a top spot....if Rico Is snapped up we MUST actually 'spend' money on another striker.... sorry that I swore there, mentioning such a word as 'spend'

Since Morris & Lalk were brought on we have actually seen loads of attempts on goal, what is the theory behind starting players like Cook & Forde? Sometimes we mere mortals can see very little sense portrayed by modern day football 'coaches'.

Neither have impressed me and both are on two year contracts :!: However, with neither Bakayoko or Murphy deemed good enough [or not ready] then we are forced to use them regularly. Forde offers more than Cook, but I would rather spend their combined wages on another decent striker.
Edit - penalties it is :?

It's times like this when I wished we had drawn a bigger club than us.

Yep. Nice to get through to the next round, even though we have no chance against mighty Brentford

They're going to play in the Premier League don't you know. And their owner is different to all the others...

Re: Chesterfield (H) F.A. Cup 2nd rd replay, Tue 15 Dec 7.45
Good result. Not great performance, though sounded like we had the chances to win, especially at the end with Morris and Baxendale. It must have been hard to keep momentum with the postponement of the Fleetwood game.
The Saddlers Player commentary lag was on show tonight. It was quite funny getting what's app updates of each penalty kick from my brother 8 seconds before hearing the commentary. Though the way it turned out, it was quite fun knowing a miss was coming up and knowing Downing was going to put it away!
