This means the world. Get in! I get to walk down Wembley Way with my Dad, my brother and my nephew. That is all we want, isn't it?

I haven't posted on here in ages but felt tonight I had to! Listening to WM tonight was excruciating to say the least - I don't think I really believed I'd ever see us at Wembley! But we've done it, we've done the double - Cardiff and Wembley!!!!!! Fantastic and can't wait until the 22nd March! Let's hope we outsing them like we did Reading at Cardiff!

At Last! Wemberleeee!
I just couldn't watch, listen or monitor...
Heart rate got right up 70+
Well done, this team, for fulfilling another of my bucket list.
We'm gooin' to a Cup Final! At last, after 127 years, of which the team spent only, approximately, 62 years without me as a supporter  . Even less if yo count from when me Dad took me the first few times  8)

Re: Preston N.E. (H) F.L.Trophy area final 2nd leg, 27 Jan 7
oh gosh that was torture
I didn't believe wed get there right up until the injury time.
the team played as well as they could and coped with the preston onslaught late on.
the defence was amazing and sawyers shone in midfield.
27 years a fan and all those cold Tuesdays in jan and feb drawing 0-0 with Maidstone makes it all worthwhile.
special mention to dean smith and his tactics he got it spot on tonight although wasn't one youd want to buy on dvd.
well done everyone connected with the club for giving us something to be very very proud of tonight

Can I say I have always liked Dean Smith and have always thought he did his best for us - but had to laugh when I saw him on BBC tonight saying 'I am so pleased for everyone involved in the football club and none more so than the chairman Jeff Bonser' - come on the person in the universe least likely to know we were even playing!!!!!! He was SOOOO told to say that!!!!!!!

The final result came through just as I arrived at Richmond station in Melbourne this morning, on my way to work. Richmond is the station for the MCG, so rather fitting as a place to find out that Walsall are at Wembley. That's one up on the Monkey Hangers anyway...
Decent report on the BBC website (http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30891902) which also details our previous near misses. In another piece of odd coincidence, it was one Tim Cahill who thwarted us on one occasion. Tim is now the veteran striking hero for the Australian national side, the Socceroos, who last night booked themselves a place in the Asian Cup final, to face South Korea. Almost unreported in the UK, I gather, the Asian Cup has been a fantastic tournament to be part of - if you've never sat among 17,000 Iranian fans supporting their side you've never lived...

Was pretty calm in the first half, PNE were complete garbage going forward, Kevin Davies looked a proper pub player out there, incredible he played for England.
Second half was much more nervous, the clock ticking down took an eternity but I knew as soon as ROD saved that Gallagher free kick it was going to happen.
Mental scrambles at the end aswell, those would go in league games but this cup run has been fated since the Tranmere game.

I'd be lying if I said I enjoyed this evening's game, but what a night! Every one of the 12 players in red tonight deserve praise, and as for the man in purple - what an absolute legend.
Dean Smith was absolutely right. Paul Downing became a man during those 97 minutes, as did Sawyers. For me though, no-one optimised us more than the Chambers twins, who were both immense. It'll be a special day for those two when they walk out onto the Wembley turf, that's for sure.
Pride of the Midlands.

I wonder if PNEThor attended - or maybe the curfew times on his tag stop him going to night games?

Can't remember the last time we had a game like that. Not a single player put a foot wrong and job done. Special mentions to J. Chambers for the tackle in the first half which was either going to be epic or a penalty and a red. O'Donnell for the numerous saves. Downing for making Davies look like he should probably retire and Bradshaw for chasing the endless balls we launched at him. We weren't pretty tonight but did what was needed.
I've waited 25 years for this. It feels like something is shining down on us. I don't even know if it's luck. After all 'you make your own'. Hopefully this'll be good experience for our 2nd visit in May!

Blimey. We've only gone and done it.
Great night, great to see the place packed and everyone doing nothing but getting behind the lads.
Now really looking forward to a great day with some very special people. At this moment in time I'm not even that bothered about the outcome of the final. Wembley with the right people feels enough.
See everyone on Sunday?

Immensely proud about that. Small squad getting to wembley is excellent for the fans, the entire football club, the local area and so on - it gives everyone a boost. A proper scrap on the night. As much as Smith gets abuse for how he sets us up at home, he got it spot on tonight. 3 men back at every corner, get the ball up quickly to Bradshaw so that we don't get caught by PNE's midfield 5 in possession and put ourselves on the back foot, excellent. We have highs and lows under Smith, but the highs feel higher than the lows feel low. There's an all round feeling of stability (3rd longest running manager in the FL at the moment) and although we are very consistent, you kind of feel it's an 'if' not 'if ever' as to use having a play-off charge one year.
Watch us get distracted and go down now!
Brillant night to be part of. I've been a fan for 11 years of our 120+ year plus history and I've seen us get to Wembley for the first time and win a league title for the first time!
UTS.
PS - Downing was awesome tonight, Taylor tremendous, O'Donnell very good but Anthony Forde...coming of age. Been excellent this last month..the next one off the Smith player sale conveyor?
