Bristol City (H) League One 12 Apr, 3.07pm
We welcome a resurgent Bristol City on Saturday (note the slightly later kick-off time), another team who will be looking to do the double over us, having got three points at Ashton Gate on Boxing Day in the same way Port Vale did last week-end - 1-0 (penalty). Having looked like relegation fodder for much of the season City have recovered significantly, and currently sit 15th in the table on 47 points. They're only 4 points clear of the relegation fight though, so we can expect a tough game. Scoring doesn't seem to have been their problem - 63 League goals is 18 more than we've managed but defensively they have conceded 64 goals, and this is a shame because we don't appear to have the necessary fire-power no matter who our opponents are!! City's current form looks like this:
11 Mar Peterborough (A) Won 1-2
15 Mar Swindon Town (H) Drew 0-0
22 Mar Colchester United (A) Drew 2-2
25 Mar Port Vale (H) Won 5-0
29 Mar Rotherham United (A) Lost 2-1
5 Apr Preston North End (H) Drew 1-1
Considering some of the teams they've faced recently you have to admit those are highly creditable results. Two individual goalscorers lead the field for Bristol City, Baldock and Emmanuel-Thomas, with 22 goals and 20 goals respectively (what wouldn't we give to have that kind of talent?). Also worth noting is the fact that no less than 17 (that's seventeen!!) players have scored for City this season. It's to be hoped that their defenders are keen to extend that practice on Saturday and leave the kind of gaps that we will (should) exploit. I honestly can't see us winning this one, and I'll be happy with a 1-1 result (Lalkovic or Bakayoko for us). :D

Can see both teams settling for a draw. I'll go for 1-1.

Despite the above, I'll be over from Hong Kong for this one.
Couldn't cancel the fights.
A stress-free 3-0 win.

I think the players will roll over ready for the beach, lose 0-2.
Cant be arsed paying for that, to be honest.

A 2-1 defeat, with Lalkovic for us, in front of 4,179, including 646 from Bedminster and the surrounding area.
Edit - Bristol City have sold 1,000 tickets already for what is their second nearest away fixture after Swindle.
So, it could be close to 5,000 on the day

Yep, I am in two minds whether to go or not. I have a free weekend, not sure I can be bothered to waste part of it, especially if the weather is nice, and I can get out with the kids. Still probably end up going, such a mug.

Should be closer to 5k than 4k with a good following for them.
3-0 with goals from Hewitt, Bakayoko, and Ngoo. 3 assists from the 4th striker, Butler.

Strawberry flavoured cider. Does that give you rose-tinted spectacles?
Anyway, I'm with moaning - and I'm completely sober (at the moment).

Taking a guess here you haven't seen Ngoo or Hewitt play this season, so you have an excuse, Moaning does not :D

I'm going for two in a week for the first time since the Coventry and Wolves double header. Brizzle and Carlizzle. Hope we don't get the same points return

Sorry, I realise that I was perhaps getting a bit carried away. 3 assists from Baxendale.

I haven't seen Ngoo. That pleasure awaits me over Easter.

Yes, three games in August and twice live on the web. I think he even came on in the 77th minute in one of those games. Otherwise it was around the 89th minute.

I'm going for Walsall 0.00 Bristol City 0.
All Walsall scores now to be expressed to 2dp and fully convey the level of apathy.
Highlight of the game to be the attendance which contains an inexplicable decimal.

3-1 defeat, they are a team turned around and have a squad that shouldn't be anywhere near the bottom half with some reasonable management and confidence.
The front 3 is pretty scary.
Bakayoko with our goal.
5,103 with 972 from Brizzle.

Tend to agree with that score, but without retort from us (unless their defenders wish to grace us with an own goal!)
As suggested above, our squad will play as if they are already on the beach, nothing to play for and can't be Arsenal'd.
Knowing this, the good residents of Walsall borough will not turn up in droves (again) 3,567, less than 3K of that figure
trying to encourage more than a lacklustre effort.. that leads to another convincing defeat.....On the plus side...the weather might be OK.. :?

Sorry, I honestly wasn't having a dig at you, I just assumed cos you lived over seas you wouldn't have seen us. Never assume eh.
Be worth the flight to see Ngoo alone ! Hopefully he wont pick him, and he will give the young lad a start.

No offence taken. I was at 5 games in August but had to check which ones Hewitt featured in.
At HK airport just now, waiting for the Ngoo Express to LHR via Doha. Should get to the ground at about 2.30pm.

Meet up with W-A-W then. By half two he'll be about 45 minutes from deciding to think about leaving the boozer and going to the ground

I wouldn't want to miss Ngoo's first goal for us, though there is an extra 7 minutes of drinking time.

Now results don;t matter I'm going for a Walsall win, probably 3-0 up after 20 mins or something ridiculous.
3-2 result

As Welsh mentioned in the op, don't forget that kick-off is 3:07 today and never forget why.
We'll draw 1-1. O'donnell to equalise in the 94th minute.
