Bradford City (A) League One Tue 25 Mar, 7.45pm
Let's see if we can extend our undefeated run beyond its current three games with our visit to The Bantams, at Valley Parade Bradford. It's an indication of the changing fortunes of football clubs to consider that while we were overcoming Reading at the Millennium Stadium, Bradford City were being relegated from the Premiership. Since then they've slipped all the way down to League Two before clawing their way back up to League One. Interestingly they became the only club ever to reach a major Cup Final as a member of the fourth tier when reaching the final of the League Cup last year, losing 5-0 to Swansea City. Bradford City's current form:
22 Feb MK Dons (H) Won 1-0
1 Mar Stevenage (H) Lost 2-3
8 Mar Brentford (A) Lost 2-0
11 Mar Colchester United (A) Won 0-2
15 Mar Gillingham (H) Drew 1-1
22 Mar Shrewsbury Town (A) Lost 2-1
Very much "up-and-down" current form, as has their season been....when visiting Walsall back in October (and beating us 0-2) we were 9th in the table (we still are) and Bradford City were 4th. They're now 13th and look destined for a lower-mid table finish. Their win at Bescot saw one of their goals scored by Hanson, who is their leading scorer with 12 goals to his name - the next highest has 5, and this hints at the similar problems the two clubs have had this season. Their similarity to us perhaps goes further, as last Saturday they took the lead at Shrewsbury in the 79th minute and still contrived to lose 2-1 !! To say that Bradford are unpredictable is a definite understatement - earlier this season they thumped Brentford at home 4-0, yet more recently managed to lose at home to Stevenage 2-3. They also surrendered 3-0 at Notts County in the same month that we managed a narrow 1-5 win :?
As our away form seems to be far more consistent than that at home, I'll go for a 1-2 win, with Sawyers and Lalkovic on target. :D

It's eleven years since we last beat Bradford , this will be our 11th game since we last won , 11111 will be in attendance including 211 saddlers and the result will be a stunning 1 v 0 victory with number 11 mystery man Ashley Hemmings scoring the winner 11 minutes from the end

Stonewall 1-1 draw, Though the Bradford back line will have to get in some shooting practice for the 'own goal' they will get for us!!
Looking forward to seeing the lads again tonight, wouldn't even mind if we lost, but please let us get back to playing the way we used to earlier in the season (tippy tappy sideways and backwards is much more pleasant to watch than hoofball up to players we don't have!).
Still amazes me that Bradford can still count on 12/13K home support, whilst back home, we have now shrunk to the 'faithful 3,000'............well done the fair residents of Walsall Borough, back in the Fellows Park days, we got similar gates, yes, it was 2/6d to get in, but our team was often just as abysmal as it is today.

This game is in need of a spark at the moment as The Saddlers have been solid but neither 'keeper seriously tested.
That is what Andy Poole says about the game so far. Not a spark Andy, a striker who can score a goal ( look up definintion in a dictionary).

Are the Nylons going to blow the promotion chance again?
Incidentally, that scoreline tells you what a good point that was for us at New Milmoor the other week.

MK Dongs 0 Gillingham 1
Man Utd 0 Man City 2 (I know it's not even League One, but it's  )
Meanwhile Bradford have a yellow card and have made a substitution.....
The Colchester fightback at the Custard Factory starts..... it's now 3-1 to the Dingles.
