Wrong team today. Playing too direct against a poor team. We should be passing the ball to unlock their defence.
Changes needed.

Seems like the acquisition of a striker, which so many were crying out for, has affected our play negatively, if all we are doing is humping it up to him and that isn't working. Thought he was the plan B anyway. Why ditch what we have done so well with, just because we get a premier league club striker on loan?

Piss Poor.
As I was openly abused for a few weeks back, failures against teams like Gillingham with last minute goals, Tranmere where we took our foot off the gas and today are precisely why we won't finish in the playoffs. Absolutely dreadful result. Our season will fade away to high in the bottom half looking at our fixtures in the next few weeks IMO.
Just in time for the Wolves to spank us as well.

77 min.... Baxendale on for Lalkovic
For the last 10 minutes Crawley will have 10 men. Second yellow card to Clarke.
85 min... Hemmings on for Brandy. Too little, too late?

Awful result.
Late winners for Posh and Rotherham.
I'd suggest that is the season over for a definitive 'achievement' - we won't make the playoffs or be relegated anyway.
Let's see if we can better last seasons finish. I'd say it's also quite obvious that Ngoo should be used as an impact player late in the game, not as a starter.

SMITH OUT. 7th place not good enough with a bottom-four budget. Thick footballer.

Har.
Though putting his faith in Ngoo over Sawyers has been a mistake in hindsight.
It's not over, but we need snookers.

Whenever Ngoo does get the ball, he's also a ball hogger that tries to take everyone on himself then loses it.
The guy has totally unbalanced the team and I can't believe the long balls punted up to him became plan A.
As soon as he was taken off we reverted to playing in the floor and were all over them with a goal a few minutes later.

We were cack today though, and Smith got it proper wrong.
NGoo was just so bad i was giggling all the way through the first half, amazed he made it on to the pitch second half. looked like a Pub player.
The penalty looked odd to me, but you cant blame the ref today, we deserved to lose. Despite managing to score a skewed shot off a corner, we did not create one chance all game, and their keeper was catching easy crosses all day long. Not ones from Purkiss though, they didnt beat the first man.
The striker debate should be over, we only looked like we might nick a point when Westcarr was the striker, and Sawyers was up with him. Lack of goals is not down to our strikers, its down to the two wider forwards, who never ever get in the box. Ever. Brandy is fantastic when he can run at them, but he as barely in the game today, which really effects us. i forgot Lalkovic was playing.
How many crosses do we put in that fizz across the back post and there is no one within 50 yards?
Defence were poor today though, Downing absolutely monged by a pacey turn and Butler couldnt pass water.
Midfield only in the game after the goal, before that they were non existent.
Deserved loss, and probably a damaging one because we really needed some points today. Its the same old reasons every time we lose too.
Special mention to the middle aged man at the end in the Lower booing his head off. Very mature mate, you absolute bellend. Grown men booing.

Ngoo = 2nd rate Emile Heskey
Get rid now.
He isn't a team player.

I don't know what on earth is going on.
But 0-3 against the Dongles and now one shot on target against a load of fodder who've barely played is NOT good enough.
Getting a point away is no good if this is what we can expect at home afterwards.

Too much dummy spitting and over reactions on here. To write off the play-offs is absurd.
Smith got it wrong starting Ngoo, but that's life.
I enjoyed our 2nd half performance. If we can maintain that for the rest of the season, that'll do me.
