Plain as day. We need a Striker. The dingles are talking of getting two in before the loan window shuts, we, although we have loads of dosh in the bank, nothing (again). No ambition. Stinks it does.

Passing sideways and backwards appear to be the order of the day.......... :?
Deano, take a look at Orients shots...16 at the latest count........against Posh! does that not say something important?

They have to pass sideways/backwards.... There's no target man.

I'm not sure why Smith does this so frequently, I thought Andy butler was a centre half, if fact he always seems to be playing in that position in every game. Completely pointless tactic............he's not a striker Dayneoo.

Only got the BBC stats to go by but it appears we had only one shot on target! No doubt some lovely tippy tappy build up play across the width of the the box then someone has a shot out of panic. This is because the opposition has been given the time to get the entire team behind the ball and close down any real opportunity on goal.

Get a striker or give Hewitt a chance and give him a start or at least 45 minutes.
Our best 'traditional' striker is Butler. Someone who will hustle and out-muscle the big lumps that are League 1 defenders.
We have got a team of creative players who can get the ball up to the box with relative ease, but not one player whose main focus is to stick it in the net.
Get a proper fudge striker and we WILL be in the play-offs.

We are just a player short which is frustrating.
Just a point off the play-off still but Coventry's form coupled with a gap growing from 5th to 6th means that any play-off aspirations are drifting a tad.
After Peterborough though we play 10 consecutive games against sides beneath us in the league. If we get on a roll during that period we could get very close indeed. That run of fixtures (with a nice little cup run inter-woven within them) will make or break the season. The return from a tough start has given us a very nice platform - let's build. A centre-forward with a bit of presence would mean I'd swing from hopeful to confident that we will still be there or thereabouts come January.

Correct.
We were pretty average until the last 10 mins then suddenly woke up, but it was too late.
The referee and linesman on the left were absolutely diabolical.

We have played the top teams in this div and there has not been one game where we haven't deserved at least a point based on control of the game.
We need more of a cutting edge it is such a shame to let the season drift without giving it a go -
Need a striker

Oh my days. Yes, lets sarcastically be happy with a mid table finish.
Are you lot the bonser family?
Do you satisfy your Mrs? Or do you say, that'll do love, sorry I was only mediocre.
Get a donald grip....We need a Striker. Now.

Re: Milton Keynes Dons (A) League One, Sat 2 Nov 3pm
Just got back, done in by the referee. But still, even if their goal hadn't of counted due to it not being a free-kick in the first place - we didn't deserve anything, ran around like headless chickens. Playing ridiculous hopefully passes to try and split their defence, and then giving up and booting it up to Westcarr didn't work, so we stuck Butler up front and got a goal that should of counted - who fudge knows why the lino flagged for a foul by Butler, when he was the ones being fouled and tugged on in the back.
Refs were cack, we we're good at everything other than playing that final ball and putting it in the net.
First time I have said this, but I now believe we do need a Striker.

Ref 1-0 Walsall, not that it's that important. Dreadful display, total garbage.
We pride ourselves on work rate on and off the ball and today just showed - if we aren't on the ball in that department we don't have the quality to win games.
Where was the hard work? The closing down? The 1 touch attacking play - left it on the coach home from Swindon.
We need a striker, you can have all the build up you like but I counted 5 occasions today where we had the ball wide and nobody to cross it to in the centre.
Baxendale? Promising player, but a pathetic skinny little weed at times today and I'm one of his biggest fans.
Westcarr? I haven't got enough time to get into it, glad everyone around me voiced there opinion loudly today. Bone idle, slow, lazy dirtbag.
Only players to take anything from that are Downing and Butler - hell, even Taylor and Adam Chambers looked miles off it today.
We looked slightly better when Sawyers came on, simply on the basis that the ball stuck and our possession percentage increased up the pitch. Lalkovic did okay. Free kick wasn't a free kick and I can't be the only one that questioned O'Donnell, again? It was miles out and a floaty finish off the post. Can't see why Butlers goal didn't stand.

Just back. Poor conditions high wind at times we never looked like getting a result , sawyers came on he was poor today , we over play it so much , butler was fooled then he pulled the blokes shirt 50/50 we didn't get many decisions in our favour . Had local radio on & Karl Robinson said it wasn't a free kick that lead to their goal . Ok these things happen but what is certain we need a centre Forward !!!!!!

Right, I've just got back.
It's my first sight of them this season and this is what I think.
General
Walsall are a good team, well managed, playing good football.
ALL players have something to offer the squad.
Where it went wrong
MK offered nothing, including their 'fans' so it effectively became a home game and the formation didn't sit right.
They were there for the taking and had we been more assertive tactically, we could and should have won it.
But for two appalling interjections from the referee, that result was never on the cards.
He was a gibbering imbecile - expect to see him in the Premiership shortly.
Butler could twice have had a penalty anyway, but the referee not only disallowed his goal, but gave a free kick against him despite their player grabbing him round the throat.
T
Player by player
Pointless exercise - all 6.5/10.
Too many looked jaded and the middle third of the game was particularly tepid.
The substitutions and the ridiculous goal jollied them up a bit, but it was too little, too late today.
Despite that they looked a far superior team to Corporate Nonsense FC (2003).
MK
Nice ground with nice seats - hilariously underpopulated by corporate patrons.
Will be even nicer when the finish building it and add draught excluders.
Find the cheesiest bell end, square it + ginger mullet = Dean Lewington.
Alan Smith was anonymous, as was Bamford.
Izale McLeod fell over once, offered nothing else.
Karl Robinson is a total twit, who has managed to assemble the biggest collection of insipid charlies outside of Selhurst Park.
Powell looks quite good for them in patches.
Cadets looked relieved to be called from the stands after 35 mins.
Majorettes were very plain.
Programme has hilarious section 'we have some history.'
er,that's it.
