Prediction League 1: Table 2013-2014
Here's the season sticky for the prediction league. Come one, come all. I have no monster holidays booked this season, and relish the opportunity to compete over 46 legs head to head with the best that UTS has to offer. And Saigon.

Re: Prediction League 1: Table 2013-2014
Can't seem to find the tables thread from last season on here anymore, so here is how the table finished last season with Welsh Saddler the winner. There were some great battles through the season. As the prediction master I order Saigon and Manchester to 'give it a rest' this season!

It's back.
I'm back !
And I've already been mentioned SEVEN times so far in three threads.
It's the usual mixture of venal ENVY, vomit-inducing AWE and instinctive, gut-wrenching TERROR induced by a superlative record of achievement:
1st - with highest ever points record
2nd (twice)
3rd
4th
So sign up. Enlist. It's not very often you get to compete with one of the greatest predicting talents that has ever walked upon the face of the earth. But prepare for the tears of despair and the whirlpool of shame as I bludgeon your pathetic attempts into the dirt with my massive, gnarled club of triumph.
I've done it all. Seen everything, and taken a huge dump into the mouth of happenstance, forcing it to choke on my own magnificence.
That's me, taking what I want!

Can't be me, Manchester. If you look at the table, I finished above Saigon. He can only devour and defile those whom he has defeated.
:D - back at ya! ;)

I don't regard it as a defeat 1 point difference but two predictions less - I know I'm clutching at straws but it keeps me happy :D).
And the thought of being devoured and defiled by Saigon makes me feel totally nauseous (as does being carried away while wearing a blue dress).
UURRRGGGHHH!!!!

If I predict every round this time rather than forgetting a few I should win at a canter, nice poster Saigon, will look good stuck on the tracks of my prediction panzer as it rumbles on to final victory

I've recently been eating bucket-loads of cheap fish offcuts in an brave attempt to boost my predictional brain capacity (already massive). I'm sure it's working but their are some nasty side effects, including a disagreeable fishy stench that hovers around me like a miasma. And very loose bowels. Still, it's all for a good cause.

Re: Prediction League 1: Table 2013-2014
Well, here is the first table for this season's prediction competition!
There were 35 predictors, including some new people this season (welcome!), which was a healthy number. It'd be good to keep that up, and with a number of predictors from last season not playing (maybe on hols or something at the mo?) it could be a good few more, once they join in.
Some good scoring for the first weekend and there were only two blobs. The week's winners were Welsh_Saddler and IHTC, who both scored 4 points. Congratulation to the two of them!
For those who are new or aren't sure, for weekend games, I normally put up the prediction thread on a Mon/Tues, and if there is a set of fixtures on a Tuesday evening, I would put up the prediction thread on the previous Thurs/Fri. So basically you have 5 days to get your predictions in before kick off times.

Don't we usually class the first week as a practice round that doesn't count towards the final total? I'm sure that's how it works.

I agree.
I see I'm taking my usual position near the foot of the table. I'm gonna phone Franksy and tell him I've gorra few :-)

Yeah, says so on the prediction week 2 thread so just get going. All very simple. Check the general format, rules etc in the sticky threads at the top of the page. Can't be arsed writing it all out again here!

Here is the prediction league table after week 2. Some good scoring again in these early stages. Only 2 blobs (won't embarrass with names!) but the week's winners were Exile and derbysaddler with 4 points. Well done you two.
IHTC and Welsh Saddler still lead the way. Next Saturday's games thread will be up tomoz or Tues.

Exile cheats, he posted his last entry at 11.17 pm (New Zealand time) on Saturday. Surely it's not right to be able to post that late on a Saturday.
He must've already known the results, put him into admin I say.
He should start on minus 10 points!
