STANDING CONTINGENT APPEAL

Reaction to the biggest events in Walsall FC's recent history. This section also houses the tributes paid to Jolysaddler.

Is it right to stand up in the Tile Choice Lower Stand?

Poll ended at Sun Feb 17, 2013 9:20 pm

Yes, it doesn't matter how I effect other supporters I should be allowed to stand.

Windowman, I wonder how many of the standing are season ticket holders and how long have they had their season tickets.

Don't you love it?
You could spend all your life arguing with Saigon-types - and for what?
Saigon, you've made an astounding 7,000+ posts and I challenge you to paste below even one which you've made which is of value.

There was definately one about valuables - I seem to recall posting something about being careful about valuables and them being lost or stolen, back in 2008 or 9. Does that count? Also it's more than 7000 - due to a loss of posts a few years ago. Probably about 12000 now. 12000 posts of glorious toss, some of which really bother people who take a messageboard much, much too seriously.

I'm not religious, but the Lord (or someone) has given you life and you waste it posting acres of self-confessed "toss" (I've left out the "glorious" bit for obvious reasons).
You silly man.
You could be out chasing ladyboys or whatever your persuasion is.

For something to come back and haunt me, I'd have to care. Although quite how quoting someone famous saying something that is almost as famous is placing me in peril is beyond me.

Just for the record, I'm wearing a mortar board and gown, and eating a cherry scone while watching the downtrodden and defenceless get further trodden down and attacked. This is being done maybe by racists or neonazis, but they could also be Walsall supporters who stand up during games.

I am enjoying my biggest waste of time - responding to your posts.

Many thanks.

There once was a person called Whitters,
Referred to by others as 'Twitters',
He seemed quite unstable,

Just another of those internet critters.

No actually it was Bertrand Russell

John Lennon was a tree hugging scouse twerp who wrote the most dreary overrated song on the planet, Imagine.

Well done, very well done.
Your nurses and I were hoping you would eventually say "I was wrong", but sharing responsibility is a great step for you.
Another few months of treatment and we may be able to transfer you from the Very Padded Room to the Not Quite So Heavily Padded Room.
Keep up the good work!

I agree.

I'd suggest that we think the same on this, but perhaps it's better to say that you think conceptually in one way, and I happen to think in a similar conceptual way.

Really happy to see block 4 nearly all standing, i think everyone from the back down the to the last 5 rows was standing and singing, i would say though that i dont have any qualms with the stewards taking action to people standing up on the front row, there was stil a few seats to come and stand in towards the back, dont run the risk of getting chucked out and come and join us. i personally dont think the stewards want to upset the standers but if your are standing up in a very small group at the front then you leave them little choice.

hope to see more people futher back with the standers next game.

I was just pleased that, for once, the club showed common sense today and didn't create the sort of crisis that they might of.

And the atmosphere was pretty good. Long may it continue.

Club praised for doing nothing shock.

Just goes to show the whole affair has been a storm in a teacup and no-one at the club takes any notice of fringe web sites.
Note that the attendance of our supporters was down - have the "non-standers who complain about standing" become stayaways?
Is a post on this thread going to be a standing arrangement after every home game?

No the person/people who complained were at the game so that comments gets blown out the water.
