Oldham Athletic (H) League 1 Saturday 2/2/13.
It could only happen in football , beat Liverpool in the F A Cup draw Everton in the next round yet Latics manager Paul Dickov's job is under threat .
Oldham sit 19th in the table on 27 points from 29 played , without a league win in 8 games ,
Full away record
won 4 - drew -3 - lost 8 - goals for 15 - against 23 .
last 6 league games.
Doncaster - home - lost 1-2
Crewe - home - lost 1-2
Scunthorpe - away - drew 2-2
Brentford - home - lost 0-2
Coventry - away - lost 1-2
Notts County - away - lost 0-1
Last league win
Colchester away 2-0 - 8/12/12.
Prediction :back to winning ways for us , more problems for Dickov
2-0

Walsall 2-1 Oldham - A tight game but back to winning ways. I reckon just over 4,000 for this one with a bumper 5-600 from Oldham after their shock result last Sunday.

Walsall 2 Oldham 1
David Kelly to come off the bench and score two late goals at the Street End, to the chants of Super Sub Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. Alan Buckley still to persist with Ally Brown next weekend, then sign Steve Elliot.

I see Oldham are spending some of their FA Cup cash by bringing Chris Iwelumo in on loan from Watford. Decent signing at our level - he'll give Butler and Downing a good test.

From BBC -
Jordan Obita - Reading to Oldham (loan)
Busiest club today? Not QPR... it's Oldham. Chris Iwelumo has already moved to Boundary Park today and Reading's teenage midfielder Jordan Obita has just followed in the Scottish striker's footsteps. The 19-year-old arrives at Boundary Park on a month's loan.

Lee Barnard from Southampton aswell. 2 - 2 Butler and Brandy for us. Anyone of their two new strikers to grab a brace.

I think there'll be goals in this one. 3-2 to us - Grigg with a brace and Brandy with the other.

Re: Oldham Athletic (H) League 1 Saturday 2/2/13.
I'm suddenly feeling like we may lose this one. Oldham's win over Liverpool, coupled with the signings of Iwelumo, Obita and Barnard [all very good for our level], will mean we have to be very much on our game at the weekend. Hopefully, the Colchester result will be sufficient warning to ensure we get at least a draw, or that battling win I previously predicted. And we do have Brandy back :D
Here's hoping. Up the Saddlers.

From Manchester Evening News:

Hopefully, Oldham will be under the same impression!
Midtable Walsall will be without former United starlet Febian Brandy who is suspended.

Can you find a tank top, balaclava or similar knitted apparel that would provide the good fortune we require?

You'd have to think it's an injury :?
Elsewhere, as we start to look over our shoulder..... Colchester are 1-3 up at Portsmouth, and Hartlepool are still looking at a most likely escape, being 1-0 up against Notts County.
Oh, and just to demonstrate how funny a game it can be, the Villa are currently 1-2 up at Everton.
