Places to eat near Bescot

Fri Feb 04, 2005 10:11 pm

A few days ago there was a very useful thread on here about places to eat before or after a Walsall game - unfortunately it got auto-deleted. If anyone would care to re-post their suggestions, I will ensure it gets archived forever...

I despair!

Amongst others were Arbor Lights (Lichfield Street), Sofias (Goodall Street), The Boat Inn (Lichfield Road, Muckley Corner), Golden Moments (Ablewell Street).

I'm sure others can add!

The Bell Inn. It is on the Birmingham rd opposite Park Rd. And as added value there is a photograph of the Saddlers team of the 60s with such luminaries as "Hodgie", Roy Falkener Chopper Gutteridge etc. It is either in the men's bogs or in the passage on the way there.

Believe it or not the Tiger is very good for food nowadays. On Walstead Road. Best to go in the lounge to avoid the Baggies fans though.
