Enjoy your very brief occupancy of my position, which you only achieved due to the postponement of my banker Bury v Barnsley.
That's my plaque and I'll be having it back on Monday. :D

The thing worse than him winning is all the smug posts about it. I care not to imagine him nude, at his keyboard, in his basement, rewarding himself with a dwarf.

Yeah, and for his continual impatience at waiting for an official updated table, instead posting some crass, amateurish version that makes a mockery of the competition and it's standing / credibility on UTS.
All just for self-glorification and the chance to arouse himself at seeing his name on top of everyone else.
I guess it take all sorts.

Re: Prediction League 1 2015-16: Intro & Table!
Updated table (the official one!) after the Boxing Day games. 5 postponed games really affected the points scoring and so has skewed the eventual week's winner result. Saigon Saddler achieved the highest total on the day of 5 points so is the week's winner - well done! But, with a lot of predictors have games postponed, some with two, and even Asps with all 3 games postponed, there was a chance that Saigon's score could have been equalled if not bettered - but we'll never know I guess!
This win leaves Saigon top of the table now after Boxing Day but, as you will notice, there are a lot of p-p games in the places just below him to be played, so he shouldn't get too comfy quite yet!
I will update the table again from the 28th games in the next day or two, as well as set up Saturday's thread (week 25)

Updated table after yesterday's games. Good, consistent scoring, thanks to almost regulation results and predictable wins for the teams in form. There were no postponed games either which made life a little bit easier!! :D
The week's winner was itasaddler with 4 points - well done!
Not much movement in the table after the Boxing Day table but all the points help!

Re: Prediction League 1 2015-16: Intro & Table!
Updated table after yesterday's games. Mixed bag of scoring and some crazy goalfests yesterday in League 1 leading to a week's winning score of 3 points, achieved by saddla, Casual D and Morty - well done to you all!
It means that Saigon has company at the top of the table now and, with people below him having a number of postponed games (including Port Vale v Swindon added to the list), he should be feeling a little uncomfortbale at the moment!
Next week is FA Cup weekend and there aren't enough League 1 games taking place to make it a game week so see you on the 16th!

Postponed games .... yeeeeeeees. :!:
Not quite the nailed on solid gold, points fest are they?
In fact they rarely make a favourable return on their investment.
And also they make the life of the diligent administrator a massive headache.
You will note that I have avoided selfishly adding to the workload of JJ, who has been an absolute credit to the competition as usual, because I have not been LAZY and I have BOTHERED to spend the literally two minutes checking on postponed games.
I will now luxuriate in my top position, recharge, and be fully ready for the next phase of this season's campaign - something I shall call 'the liquidation of the innocents'
 :D

My Asiatic friend please take a closer look at the table kindly provided by JJ above. You will see that it's ME at the top and with a game in hand.
After my brief fall from grace (caused by an excess of alcoholic beverage over the yuletide) I am now back where I belong and where I intend to stay.

A mere accident of the alphabet, and the history of this competition is littered with predictors counting their surfeit of '****' games as points in the bag.
I recall Manchester droning on about it last year, shortly before I kicked his arse and claimed the champions crown: something I intend to repeat THIS season with equal aplomb and skill, SHOCKING the various bystanders into silence.
Anyway, I have been here before, it's all new for you. I will simply wait for you to defeat yourself.

Re: Prediction League 1 2015-16: Intro & Table!
Updated table after yesterday's games and it includes any points from a couple of p-p games played in the last couple of weeks. A very good week of scoring as pretty much every game went as expected and predicted. Only 1 blob and the week's winning score was 5 points, achieved by...little 'ol me!! :D
First time since near the start of the season that I've scored any decent points so relieved to see I hadn't lost the knack!
Saddla is now the solo frontrunner again so let's see if the chasing pack can reel the fish in!
Next Saturday's games will be up in the next couple of days.

Re: Prediction League 1 2015-16: Intro & Table!
Very unexpected set of results yesterday meant lots of 0s and 1s being scored for week 27, which means not much movement in the updated table, below.
A few people managed more than a single point, one of whom was canadiansaddler with 3 points, and achieves the accolade of being the week's winner - well done!
Even though there are only 6 league games this Tuesday (Fleetwood v Walsall is a p-p game from Dec) it will count as a game week (week 28) so we get the full 46 weeks in. The thread is now up and running.
