Good keeper but not a chance.

Do I take it the Kevin Phillips rumour is off now?
Cureton's a wee nipper compared to him.

I remember a few years back the E & S reported Cureton wanted to sign.
I would rather have KP (not that I believe for a minute we could get him)

Cureton has been rumoured every close season since he's past the age where he falls into our price bracket....he still doesn't fall into that bracket!

Re: Summer 2013 Transfer Rumours
Ex Wolves youngster Mark Little is leaving Peterborough. Right back, only 24. Could be an option if one/both of Chambers and Purkiss don't sign. Although he has been a regular at Posh in the Championship so will probably have his sights set a bit higher than ourselves.

Why don't they just close that site down! Not many (if any) of their "rumours" come true.

He would have to use the M6 to get to any of the teams in the north-west , and as he is supposedly in talks with Oldham - this would seem to confirm that is where he was heading.

Some nice young players been released from the Premiership... I'd like us to look at Sanchez Watt, Reece Brown and John Bostock. Also note a number of former Saddlers have been released Richard Peniket (cancelling a sell on clause), Chris Baird, Ryan McGivern, Romaine Sawyers and Gary O'Neil. Would love the later back, but no chance.

Really? Do you believe that Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United players are going to consider signing for us? We will struggle to keep Grigg and Brandy on the money we can afford to pay.

Whose saying they are not within our budget? We are a stepping block to building a successful career, come to think of it wasn't one of your examples released by a top Premier League club once upon time.

I would be astonished if they were, but even if they were, there will be far more attractive propositions than us, particularly for London based players.
As for Brandy, he didn't come to us directly from Man U. By the time he had sunk to our level he was drinking from a brown paper bag on a park bench.

But things are changing. The ever growing number of cheap foreign imports in the Premiership and even the Championship means that these sorts of players are having to consider our level.

I worry that expectations are starting to get unrealistically high. Last season's improvement was brought about through a mix of cheapies and home grown talent. That is unlikely to change in my view, but lets see ay.
