No doubt saigon and whitti have concoted some cunning plan to take over the competition, lose some weeks' predictions, make something up to take the place of the real scores and give themselves some much-needed points, but for now they'll have to enjoy a meal of old crow and sour grapes, washed down with bitter whine.

Here is the updated table after tonights pp game between Doncaster and Oldham. Six predictors got the correct result, although none predicted a 1-0 scoreline, so score 1 point each to add to their totals.

Not a major change in positions, although I'm sure Manchester and Saigon will have a few words to say to each other now!

Table below after today's games. It was pretty low scoring with lots of 1s and a good few zeros. The week's winner was saddlerken with 3 points, well done.

Out of character, Exile was one of the blobs this week, so people missed the opportunity to take a good cut into his decent lead. Next week's thread will be up on Tuesday.

:( This weeks selection of games was like looking at the box of chocolates that have gone round the table and finding everything you wanted already gone. Oh well... Perhaps my purple patch is paling.

Here is the updated table for week 22 after today's games. Strange one this, as there were lots of bankable games, either home wins or lots of predictable draws, and people went for some safe home wins, but the expected goal fests at Bournemouth and MK Dons, in particular, didn't materialise and only had 1 goal in them. Hence the scores today were not that high, with lots of 2s. The winning score was 3 points, achieved by the following people: Aldridge, Tyldesley, Wyrley, Jolly Johnny, Fray Bentos is God, Kevin and Exile. Well done to all those people!

Week 23 will be set up on Monday eve, with a couple of games on Friday eve that people may want to predict.

Anyone who is any good is on 35 or 36 points.

Anyone below that is thick and anyone above that is just lucky.

He's 12 hours in front of us..............and therefore knows the results!!!!!!!!!!

Are you suggesting that canadian saddler is a bit thick? he lives just up the road from me, yet languishes in 20th place! :D

Having looked at how many points have been scored today and with all the postponed games too, it doesn't make sense to do a table tonight. Depending when all the games are arranged for, I will do a retrospective week 23 table so we know who the weekly winner was etc. Week 24 (boxing day) is up and running so get predictions in, particularly if you are doing a lot of travelling over the next few days!

There will be threads for week 25 (Sat 29th) and week 26 (Tues 1st Jan) in quick succession, so keep a look out for them too.

I understood my role was to hide the time zone advantage which has been performed brilliantly with my mid table mediocrity.

Which time zone is Kevin in as I'm 13 hrs ahead of the UK

To be honest, with the points actually scored on Saturday, I think you would have actually extended your lead!!

Here is the updated table after the Boxing Day fixtures. It also includes the smattering of points from week 23 as well, although there were a lot of postponed games that are yet to be played, so I will update as and when they are played. I have kept a note of points scored from that week so far and when all games are played, I will work out who technically 'won' that week, although obviously there won't be a week 23 table now.

Anyway, back to Boxing Day, and a good haul of points was recorded generally, with lots of 2s and 3s. The winning score was 4 points, recorded by Aldridge Saddler and Jolly Johnny, well done to those guys. Flemish Saddler could equal that, depending on the outcome of the postponed Leyton Orient v Swindon game, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

As you can see, there are lots of postponed games and potential points to be had, so the table could be a little false at the moment, although there is no escaping that Exile seems to be ever creeping into the distance! The top 4 seem to be clear as well, although there is a mad scramble behind them in the Europa League spots!!

Week 25 (Sat 29th) is already up, and Week 26 (Tues 1st Jan) will be up tomorrow evening after the Sat games. There will be no league thread for Sat 5th as there are only 5 L1 games that weekend due to FA Cup R3 - the thread for that competition will be up from New Year's day. I'm being kept busy at this time of year!!

Updated table after today's games. With Sheffield Utd and Brentford both failing to win, the points totals weren't that great, but top scorer was Welsh Saddler with 4 points, well done to you! That's now his third weekly win of the season. Two postponed games adds more asterisks to people in the table and, surprisingly, a good few of the regular predictors failed to play today's games (maybe still away or travelling back from Christmas!) so there is some movement in the table.

Week 26 (New Year's Day's games) is already up so get the predictions in over the next few days.

I had hoped that my correct Preston 0 - 3 Doncaster prediction would trouser me a bigger return.

But you predicted it as 2-1 to Donny which is why you didnt get a bigger return!

I'd rather have points over postponements. My tipping techniques mean there's a reduced chance of picking these up later :(

[PMA mode]I wouldn't worry. With 3 postponed games to your nearest challenger's only 1, you're bound to get at least 2 points from those three games and maintain the healthy lead you have at worst![/PMA mode]

Updated table after the forst games of 2013! Mostly 2s across the board, with only one 0 scored. The week's winning score was 3 points, achieved by Wyrley Saddler, Donnington Saddler and Jolly Johnny, well done to those three.

The top of the table remains quite static, although there is movement below, as always. Exile maintains a healthy lead and is the man to catch in the secind half of the season.

We take a break from league action this Saturday as there are only a handful of games and it is the romance of the FA Cup 3rd round. The prediction thread for that is now up and running, so get your predictions in before the weekend.
