Re: Prediction League Table 2011/2012
I think the thing to remember here is that it's not about winning but maintaining a level of dignity and respect.
I am, of course, completely satisfied with how I have conducted myself - but find some of this recent mindless, posturing triumphalism from certain others a trifle unnecessary and totally unwarranted. We are all striving towards the ultimate victory, a victory that shall be mine, but is it really necessary to brutalise the innocent? To stub out imaginary cigarettes of scorn upon the genitals of those undergoing a slight and temporary reversal of fortune? To unload a silo of undigested cattle faeces upon the prone body of the normal citizen? To back up the truck of contempt and roll over the foot of the righteous?
The answer of the course, is no.
Anyway, it's time to get my mojo, shakra and focus back and prepare for the coming predictional contestments.
Remember, dignity and respect. In order to visualise the idea, here is a picture I send to the chasing group (everyone) to express my sense of readiness as I approach my ultimate destiny. I am ready. I am dignified. Respect me.

Hopefully, we'll burn off the ranks of scum below us Steve. I wouldn't mind losing to you, as you have a level dignity that is far and away superior to the chattering deviants festering in the jealous slime of their own bemused failure below us. Especially the perfidious Manchester, gobby Exile and snide Crimson.
Good luck for the remainder - we are like two courageous WW1 fighter aces or honourable jousting knights of yore. Chocks away!

There is nothing worse than a smug Saigon. A real shame that he confuses blind chance with predictive skill...

Re: Prediction League Table 2011/2012
Here is the prediction league table for week 39.
It includes the pp games update (they've slowly whittled away!) but only 1 point was scored from Tuesday's games after MK Dons failed to win.
This week's winner was our esteemed league leader, Saigon Saddler, who scored 5 points - well done! He has opened a small gap again on the rest so lots of hot predicting needed in the last 7 weeks!
Week 40 thread is already up and running so get them before 12.45 on Saturday!

I thought that others used to play but had given up in February after we went a gazillion points ahead. :?

Re: Prediction League Table 2011/2012
Wow! What a bumper scoring week that was! No-one scored a blob and the average points score is probably over 3, with lots of 4s and 5s being notched up, mainly thanks to the 2-0 victories of Sheff Wed and Charlton.
Top scorers, with 5 points were: Whitti Steve, derbysaddler and Jolly Johnny! Well done! :)
With all the other good point hauls, it hasn't changed the table a great deal, but one or two in 'mid table' have shifted around.
There are two pp games on Tuesday which may alter things slightly (I'll do an updated table after it if there is any change).
The prediction thread for week 41 (which includes games on Good Friday) will be started Tues evening after the two pp games are done.

Re: Prediction League Table 2011/2012
Hi all. A quick updated table after the Brentford and Huddersfield victories tonight, which 9 people had as pp games.
Points scored by nearly all, so there is a little bit of movement in the table ahead of week 41 this Easter weekend.
The thread for that is already up and running - don't forget some games are Friday at 3pm if you want to predict them!

Would someone care to put up Easter Monday/ Tuesday games?
Some posters may be away from home, over the weekend.

Re: Prediction League Table 2011/2012
Afternoon all! Here is the updated table after the weekend's games.
It was pretty solid weekend of scoring, with no blobs and no one lower than 2 points, most scored 3. So not much movement to be honest.
Top scorers, with 4 points, were: Aldridge Saddler, Stig 231, Jolly Johnny, HK Saddler and Exile. Well done to all! :D
The week 42 prediction thread for Easter Monday and Tuesday games is already up and running so get your predictions in to keep the pressure on the bloke in top spot!

Here is the updated table for week 42.
A pretty solid week for scoring again. Top score was 3 points but because so many people got that, I'm not listing all the names here! Well done anyway.
Not much movement in the table therefore. 4 prediction weeks to go so still a chance to grab top spot or get into the play off spots!
Week 43 is now up and running.
Don't forget FA CUP semi finals this weekend as well so get your predictions in for that too - double points!

Re: Prediction League Table 2011/2012
Evening. Here is the updated table after today's results.
This week was a bit like a soundcheck at a gig, "1-2-1-2..." as that is what everyone got! Too many people top scored with 2 points to name here, but well done. There were no blobs again this week (mainly as pretty much everyone predicted Sheff Utd!) Not really much movement because of this.
3 weeks to go and next Saturday's prediction thread has already been set up and running, courtesy of Saigon.
Looks to be a 4 horse race now, who's your money on?!! :D
