Re: Prediction League 1: Table
I don't doubt, for one moment, that the fact that Canuck is ahead of you,
had any bearing on your response.
Ask anyone and they will say that I'm an noble, fair and very sporting predictor.
The fact that I have gained 2 points on some of the perfidious cheats that have been poxy enough to have more points than me through the league this season being utterly bizarre is irrelevant. I take no pleasure in people missing a valuable prediction, any more than I took from Virgin cutting Manchester's connection 2 years ago (how we laughed), or King Crimson's devastating and humiliating collection of blank 'scores' at the end of last season.
In the best corinthian spirit and with sincere goodwill I wish everyone the very best of luck this year, and hope that everyone in the top 10 appreciates the vast slices of good fortune that they have enjoyed thus far...

Re: Prediction League 1: Table
Whitti is top of the table again after scoring 4 points (also tape 66 scored 4) but that ain't enough to be the week winner though. Scoring 5 points: Duke!!, congrats!!! Only 1 big "O" and that's for our newcomer: scott_powell. Can only get better!!

I hope I haven't peaked too soon, or that the * dont come back to haunt me. Am I right in thinking Jolly Jonny has 5 games to come (i.e. 5*)??? I hope not!

Indeed that is right Steve!!
Don't worry though, 2 of the outstanding games are Scunthorpe fixtures (including 1 tomorrow night against Hereford!) who can't seem to decide what they want to do at the moment. :?
All setting up nicely for the last weeks of the season I'd say! :D

Maybe there could be a separate prize for people who haven't predicted every week!

Re: Prediction League 1: Table
you know it has been a terrible season to keep it all clear, but had some time to check all played games now and that means I've seen that i didn't add the poinst of Scunthorpe 1-2 (played somewhere in january) and Peterboro-MK Dons 0-0. Points will be added in the next table. Watched it quickly and think that stig 231 will join Whitti on 2nd spot now!!! sj will be on top again, 1 point clear!!

Correct Bart, but I have noted that of my other 2 * games, Northampton v MK Dons is being played 28/4. Can't see from the fixtures list when the abandoned Bristol v Brighton game is to be played again.

Re: Prediction League 1: Table
Just one point again this week, and with games running out I am struggling to break into the top circle of predictors. This season is really horribly unpredictable; Huddersfield missing a last minute peno and a Leicester failure deny me 2 vital points.

I'd say yes! Having had a quick look at the predictions it doesn't look like anyone has scored above 2 points compared to your 4 if I'm correct!
Think sj might have got 3 points.

My thinking too... Cant believe Leicester could make it more for me (and everyone else!)

Leicester 3-0 Colchester 0 pts
Scunthorpe 2-0 Brighton 2 pts

I think the fair thing to do is deduct 6 points from everyone in the top ten.
Yes???

Re: Prediction League 1: Table
I didn't post a table after the games of last tuesday. That means that Whitti stays on top (last weeks' place is n°1) and Manchester loses lots of places as some of his closest concurrents did score last tuesday. 35 players last weekend, highest score "only" 3 points for Whitti and Maverick, congrats lads, I have to say it again though, what a strange league to predict!!!! Only 2 big "O"-s, lucky ones are Wyrley and Exile.
