Holland were brilliant, Italy probably weren't as bad as the scoreline suggested but should still make changes for the next game. De Rossi, Del Piero, Cassano, Perrotta and Grosso should all start. Probably give Toni another chance after the season he has had, he can't play as badly as he did last night surely?

Looking forward to watching the Spaniards tonight, be interesting to see if they play the two big names up front or play 4-3-3/4-5-1 that the big team seem to play now.

Flicked in and out of the Spanish game but from what i did see, they were awsome and cut the ruskies apart at will. Torres and Villa just seem to know where each other are.
Has Torres's mystery injury returned as i missed when and why he went off, but didn't see him at any point 2nd half.
He's not got much chance of getting on the score sheet anyway....... Last time i checked, non of the games are due to be layed at Anfield

He went off after about an hour mate, gave them chance to bring on a pretty decent sub (that Fabregas bloke) and go back to Aragones' favoured 4-2-3-1 while they were 2-0 up. He looked pretty cheesed off to be brought off, understandable as he was playing well, but Villa went and celebrated with him when he got his hat-trick goal and then he was all smiles. Aww bless. :D

Lovely ay it, I love embracing men.

Seriously though at the moment cant see past the Hollish and the Germans.

Both looked resolute with a good attacking edge.

Spain looked great the other night . My bet of 50/1 for Spain to win and Villa to be leading scorer looks good

Today i've placed single bets on Croatia and Austria to win.

Croatia 1-0 Germany at HT :D

Germany are playing very poorly IMO.

Completely agree Lovejoy,
England should be there. I would have been glued to the box if England was there!
I've got about as much interest in watcing the Euro's, as I have in watching the DINGLES. :(

You should put a small bet on a team, that way you will end up supporting them in the game. That's what i'm doing to make sure i watch them  Like now, i got Austria to win.

20 mins gone in Austria vs Poland game and Autria should be 4-1 up already.

They are playing very well, although Poland are playing like they've never seen each other!

Come on Austria!!!

PS. How good is Artur Boruc the Pole keeper!?!

Justice is done imho.

Fair result with the last min penalty.

I detest shirt pulling, so for me, clear cut penalty and well spotted.

Didnt get a chance to see this game. An internet review I saw said "huge call from referee Howard Webb to award a penalty". Huge call normally is usually another way of suggesting that the referee might have got it wrong to put it in the polite terms.

Having said that, Howard Webb is a referee I rate, and at 36 years of age has at least 9 years left at this level provided he keeps his standards up. He is IMHO bar far the best England has currently got. Another one i like is Mark Clattenburg

Latvian was right - clear pen. He'd just stopped a free kick so he could warn both teams about shirt-pulling in the box, then some dunce of a Poland defender pulls an Austrian guy to the ground off the ball in the area - right in front of Howard Webb. Should have been two penalties - one for the foul and one for the utter stupidity.

So the ranting and raving I am reading from the Poland Manager is not justified then it seems

Yes, it was a blatant penalty and the Poland manager should reserve his wrath for his stupid player who conceded it, in stoppage time.

Having said that, the Polish goal should not have been allowed. It was offside - error by the English assistant referee. I didn't notice the Poland manager moaning about that, though! :D

What I dont understand is why everyone is banging on about how it was a 'shock' that the croats beat the germans?

We're not talking Wrexham v Arsenal here, we're not talking Hereford v Newcastle, we're not even talking about Charlton v Walsall.

Germany have been crap and over rated for several years, their current crop has some top class players in it [Ballack, Podolski etc], but reading the papers and the websites, you'd think Andorra has rolled up yesterday and thrashed the germans.

Croatia are a very, very good team - my tip to do very well if not win this tournament - they've got some top quality players [Modric, Krancjar, Olic, Srna, Corluka) and remember Eduardo is missing. They've got a brilliant young manager in Bilic.

So how the f*** is it a shock that they beat the germans?

yeah!!! they've been beaten twice by whole Europe (except Italy) so why not by Croatia!!!!

Serious now: indeed Croatia do have a really good team and i also expected them to do very well. F*** the "moffen" (that's flemish for sweet and friendly germans  ).

I hope Holland reach the final and will be 4-O up at half time to get beaten by penalties 13-12
They're our friends like the Welsh are yours!!!
