Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2012
James Chambers would make perfect sense, he spent the end of last season on loan at Hereford United playing for some fella called Richard O'Kelly who was managing them... So it could have a lot of legs, especially as his twin brother has a 1 year contract and James is a local lad.
Similarly, O'Kelly will know Hayter from both Bournemouth and Donny...
Could just be somebody making it up as it sounds sensible though.

James has said that he would love to sign for us and barely missed a Walsall home game last season even when Adam was injured.

Demontagnac's gone to Northampton I see, two year deal - decent signing if he ever packs in the gangster attitude.

Ishy whipping the crosses in for Nicholls to smash home. What a dream.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2012
Demontagnac and Nicholls pace on the break, Clive Platt and Akinfenwa as the strikers - I forsee LOTS of goals next season for Northampton. That's one of the better attacks in the division. Providing Nicholls keeps himself fit, I can see him getting 15 goals next season and if (YES BIG IF) Demontagnac can harness the inner nob in himself, he'l tear league 2 fullbacks apart.

Whats Purkiss like? Right back that doesnt look like he has achieved much in the game (the type of player Walsall like =cheap)
I was thinking James Chambers was going to be our right back. Maybe this guy will be back up.

Appeared to have impressed the locals, no nonsense defender who can get forward and put crosses in

Purkiss is a good solid defender who will, if required, get forward and puts in a very decent cross. Would have liked him to stay but I guess he doesn't want to drop into The conference.
Arquin is a bit of a maverick striker. Bundles of pace, strength and skill but hugely unpredictable.
RO'K will have seen enough of Purkiss to know he can do a job and probably thinks he can get better consistancy out of Arquin than we saw under our poor management prior to RO'k's arrival.
Not nailed on information but strongly rumoured down here in God's County.

You can try and make an offer for free just to see if they want to have them of the wage bill, but if they want money for new signings I suppose they want to have more money than what they can save just to offload the wage :)

I can see us signing James Chambers (who can play either RB or LB) and if we re-sign Beevers, he can play RB or fill in at CB for the inevitable suspensions that will inevitably occur (based on our woeful disciplinary record under Smith's tenure).
I would like to see Hayter join because we cannot rely solely on kids for goals and he could be very much in the mould of Kevin Wilson (a small, regular goalscorer at a higher level with bags of experience to pass on). I am also more hopeful with O'Kelly coaching the forwards because he was a cracking striker in his day so knows what he's talking about.
We have been linked with numerous LBs (Thomas Cruise has been linked more than once) and with Grof and Butler, this could be the beginnings of a decent back five.
I was sad to see Tank go because he was the best player for us whenever I saw the reserves play last season; however, the money will come in useful for wages and I am genuinely optimistic about the prospect of transfer activity in the coming weeks.
One name that noone has mentioned yet (as far as I know) - look out for Yoann Arquin
You can rule out Thomas Cruise, he's gone to Torquay

Anyone know about a lad called Aaron Gaur?
He is a quick winger who can also play up top. Young lad only 20. He had a scholarship in America with some University team i think. Saw a few videos on him and by the looks of things he could be Alex Nicholls mark 2! :? Fingers crossed he dont turn out like Nicholls if we do get it! He's just a rumour on Footy Rumours though!

Hayter signs for Yeovil
They have also signed Jamie McAllister from Bristol City, according to the Ciderspace story. I'm not sure we will be able to match the tried and tested calibre of those two for the coming season, even at my most optimistic. When you consider that Yeovil are similar to us in terms of divisional stature [though with a well known manager at the helm], this is the clearest sign yet IMO that we are already a long way short of even maintaining our curent mediocrity.
