Rene Howe is leaving Torquay to move up north I think, not sure if he'd consider us up north. On another note, Cody McDonald has been told he can leave Coventry. Only ever performed at Gillingham really, which means he won't be totally cheap but he hasn't repeated that form anywhere else which means he shouldn't be that expensive. Could be worth a 1 year punt in the Brandy mold with a second year if the club wish to take up the option.

No. He had all the movement of a donkey at our place last season, and was rightly substituted at half time. Oxford is about his level now.

Did anyone find out who the trialist was with number 17?

The keeper will be O'Donnell, the striker won't be Howe. I'm not sure we'd pay his wages and I don't think a player as recognised as he is in the lower leagues would get away with training and trialing on a teams foreign tour without being known. A player of recognised lower league name, would not be going on trial with Walsall FC, we'd either sign him or not. The striker is probably a lad like OSJ from the local non league area, somone in the mold of Rudy Torres.
