Prediction League 1 2014-15 Table & Intro!

Updated table after last night's games. Pretty low scoring overall (other than at some of the actual matches!! :shock: ) mainly due to Gillingham's ultra late equaliser at Preston which cost a lot of people 1 if not 2 points from their total.
The eventual winning score was 2 points, achieved by stig231, itasaddler, Donnington Saddler and Saigon Saddler - well done you guys.

A little bit of movement in the table, but it is so tight that half the table can still potentially win, if they have a great run of points over the last 3 weeks!

Week 44 is up and running now.

What a bizarre set of scores today in League 1!! Virtually all the home favourites failed to win, as most people predicted, and the only one who did, MK Dons, had a crazy scoreline. This at least gave almost everyone 1 point today, but no-one scored more than this. So, the week's winner is...everyone! Well, everyone who scored 1 point anyway!

Doesn't make a massive change to the table, but with 4 people having their p-p game on Tues eve, there could be some movement after that, so keep your eyes on that one.

Next Saturday's games will be up by Wednesday.

Latest table after the p-p game tonight and it makes for even more tense reading!
We have a 5 way lead now!! I'd say anyone from top 8 can still win this thing over the next two weeks. So, cue everyone carefully studying form guides and the latest squad info leading up to the weekend, as well as all predicting at 2.59pm, ha ha!! (Actually I might insist on this to avoid any accusations of copying! :wink: ) Or maybe people should PM me their predictions for impartiality!!

I am officially excited by the ferocity of the competition. It's as if a huge number of frothing toads are attempting to mate with the gigantic female toad. Just one final, muscular thrust should do it. Who is determined enough to plough through the amphibian clusterbomb* of groining toads?

The analogy is as simple as it is elegant: the toads are predictors, their engorged phalluses (phalli?) are the prediction points and the female toad's massive, bloody gash is the prediction triumph. I have entered this entry point before and know exactly what to do. You simply have to thrust.

I've got kind of a bad feeling about these last two weeks. An unpleasant mixture of over-excitement, nervousness, fear and loathing - for others, not self: has resulted in a kind of emotional flatulence.

There are just too many cooks near the broth of victory and the shock of the Manchester surge hasn't helped.

I have 10 hours of prediction pondering to do. :|

Fixed that for you. Having dismissed those three or more behind you could well be your undoing. Whilst concentrating on the Manchester swarm you could have taken your eye off the flanking threat.

Best leave those predictions to the last minute so you can try to cover off the points that will protect your position, wimp. :wink:

Updated table after today's games and with 1 week to go before the 2014-15 is revealed!
And, after a weekly winning score of 4 points, Saigon Saddler is now well in the driving seat, pulling 2 points clear from everyone else at the top today. It would take a monumental effort from someone, and a collapse of Greg Norman proportions for him not to lift the trophy now...but stanger things have happened! :wink:

In the event of people being tied at the top of the table on points, it will go down to who has most weekly wins.

Week 46 will be up and running from Tuesday / Wednesday evening, before the action on Sunday lunchtime.
