Where you heard that?
If true, another Walsall F.C "transfer & contract policy" success story.

Darren Byfield on Twitter the other night Phil. Having a bit of a conversation and he told me, Julien Gray isn't fixed up anywhere else yet either so who knows.

Aaron Lescott to step into the versatile player position would be a good signing.
If Rene the Rabbit is going to Watford, he will warm the bench then get released, he was improving steadily for us but not ready to be a No. 1 in League 1 (even less ready for Championship).

Why should this stop us having an interest in him.

These Rovers fans don't really agree: http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/t ... n-lescott/
I've always quite liked Lescott, but I imagine he'll only be cover for Westlake/Vincent

He is a left back, Vincent has more experience than him, we need experience in midfield not defence.

Hi all, looks like lescott may come after all, would still love cover aswell at lb, still hoping Julian signs up, we've been linked with fellow Southend player osei sanofka aswell as franck moussa, I'd like both as sanoka is also a utility player (rb rwb cb) and moussa would provide cover for Marshall, as I see taundry and richards both battling for a def mid role and Marshall and moussa? As the the Att mid role, any input lads? Anyone heard this?

Ok so here goes rumours have it this who we will sign that I've heard: Aaron lescott (versitile and with jamies movements this now has legs) Osei sanoka (versitile rb cb rwb) Franck moussa (talented and versitle cm lm rm) Sean mcallister (box to box midfielder) Etienne esajas (versitle winger lw rw rumours is this has legs and is going to be used as cover has injury history)
and last of adebayo akinfenwa (what needs to be said.) all these players are availble on frees so we have chance to get them. Add the signing of Julian and a lb and maybe a cover gk there and I think it would be a nice tidy squad.

Yeah Scott, but he's had a torrid few seasons with injury. I just hope he isn't julians replacement, if we had jones gray and esajas, I think we'd have maybe or probably three best wingers in the division ( by the way not being biased ) :)

Re: Summer 2010 - official transfer rumours thread
Hi all again, news on footy rumours tonight is were being linked with every man and his dog, developments tonight say were giving a trial to ex dingles and Hereford defender Keith lowe even though Cheltenham have signed him after his release. And the interesting one krystian pearce of Birmingham and uddersfield free agent but only 20 years young what to me says far too young at the mo, as we don't have experiance in the defence at the minute. What do you say boys?

Re: Summer 2010 - official transfer rumours thread
Krystian Pearce is an interesting one. I recall watching him play for one of the England under something sides a couple of years ago. I recall thinking at the time that he was destined for a bright future. I'm sure he was named MOM in that particular game. For whatever reason it hasn't happened for him. We currently have a severe lack of experience at the back. If we weren't he'd be the sort i'd defiantly offer a one year deal to have a closer look.
Interesting I was told today that we have been speaking to the Agent of a young (early 20's) attacking midfielder/ forward recently released by a Premiership club. Very vague I accept but thats all they know.

Re: Summer 2010 - official transfer rumours thread
NitrousOxide is just repeating what somebody keeps posting on FootballRumours, no more substance behind it than that, it was on there about 7-10 days ago.
To whoever it was who said we should sign Lescott as cover for Westlake / left back. That attitude is exactly our problem at WFC. Why should we be signing players that aren't good enough to replace whoever is already in the team? So what if it means Westlake gets pushed out, it forces him to improve to get his place back. We shouldn't be looking at signing any squad players, we should be signing players who improve the first XI, not improve the squad.
