Couldn’t care less, lose by 5! This is last season now and I’m sure the fans will have a great time regardless. Good luck to them too, the weather and the perfect bank holiday fixture is for the fans!!

It`s probably a good job that Keates did`nt listen to the armchair managers and put out a different team to the one he did because on this teams performance we would be relegated.

Totally agree of course - but I would think that Dean Keates won't be happy with a defeat, and it will be interesting to see what his substitution tactics are. As you say, it doesn't really matter if we do lose, but the first half has seen the possession 63% Fleetwood to 37% Walsall - perhaps it's high time we introduced a new (to us) strike threat?

On the stroke of half-time Northampton Town have taken the lead 2-1 against Oldham Athletic. If it stays like that Rochdale are safe with Latics relegated.....

One substitution to start the 2nd half .......... by Fleetwood :!:

Most of them aren't good enough for league one so hopefully he'll realise this now than midway through next season.

To not start anyway as most of them remain under contract.

Jordy Hiwula replaces Paddy Madden for Fleetwood, 57 min

Northampton Town 2 Oldham Athletic 2 now (58 min). That would send Rochdale down.......

A great chance for Walsall to pull one back, but a combination of Bakayoko and Kouhyar mess it up

I’m glad we’re already safe and not going through what the Oldham/Rochdale fans are with things seesawing back and forth!

Mitch Candlin on for Bakayoko, 65 minutes :D

More see-sawing as Rochdale take a 1-0 lead at home to Charlton. That would send Oldham Athletic down......

I give a cack that we lost :(

An unhealthy percentage of the dross of this squad will still be here next season.

Oldham down.

Walsall are officially the longest tenured club in League One.

According to WM of the youngsters Kouyhar and Cockerill-Mollet impressed the most...it will be interesting to see what the fans who were there felt.

Most of them aren't good enough to be starters at this level so results like that will happen next season aswell.

Desperately need 4-5 good signings.

Hopefully this game will demonstrate that some fringe players are not up to L1 level. Glad Keates has had a chance to see that first hand.

Glad Rochdale have survived. One too many relegation battles for Oldham.

Can't find the right topic, but it doesn't matter. Well, 45 live league games on laptop, one was cut by Windows Update (Doncaster away, my browser was showing black screen and nothing else), few more had some technical difficulties with stream quality (at least replays worked good). But it was fantastic experience. Few years ago it was a dream, this season dream became reality. No promotion was needed. Next season club can block it, few teams from league above did it (I've read it), but it was good. That was one positive thing from this mediocre season. Now it's over, summer rebuilding ahead, but I'm positive it will be good. No matter if next season will be streamed on IFollow, or not.

Not sure Keates could see that much of it. Gillespie certainly didn't see their first goal - and he wasn't looking into the sun. (Sky highlights)

What an absolute fudge horror show. Regardless of the team selection it perfectly summed up the season.

Damp squib.

Keates has got a right job on his hands to keep us up next year.

Nice to catch up with a few folk for the last time this season. But the match was typical of the season. Fair play to Dean for rotating and trying some new ideas but we are so bereft of quality I’m not sure any permutation could make us look a solid third division team.

cack performance. Gillespie the poorest of them all.

Positives were the performances of Callum Cockerill-Mollett and Maz Kouhyar who were the only bright sparks of the afternoon.
