Oldham Athletic (A) Apr 11th, 7:45pm
Just a poor substitute for the irreplaceable Welshie, who we all hope will get better as soon as possible. :)
Join us for S̶a̶t̶u̶r̶d̶a̶y̶'̶s̶ Wednesday's season-defining clash between the giants of 18th and 20th in the table, making them both seem normal-sized. Fortune may be favouring the Saddlers, as the latics are without most of their first choice defenders; Kean Bryan has been ruled out for the rest of the season while the familiar face/waist of Anthony Gerrard and Brian Wilson are doubtful for the game. Then again, replacement centreback Moimbe has stepped up to the task in the meantime (according to their forum) whilst Jack Byrne can make a creative difference. Interestingly, they have scored 4 more than us and let in 8 more in one less game.
Oldham Recent Results:
10/03/18 Bury 2 - 2 Oldham Athletic
17/03/18 Oldham Athletic 0 - 2 Portsmouth
30/03/18 Wigan Athletic 3 - 0 Oldham Athletic
02/04/18 Oldham Athletic 2 - 1 Blackpool
07/04/18 Oxford United 0 - 0 Oldham Athletic
In the last 5 games: 1 Win, 2 Draws, 2 Losses
One more win will probably keep us safe for the season, so lets hope Deano and the boys can come up with the goods. I'd like to see Ngoy upfront in a 4411 formation and a butt-clenching 2-1 win for us, but I think a 0-0 or a 1-1 is more likely.
What formation/players would you like to see, and what are your predicted scores?
Any feedback on this is appreciated. :D

Great job giglee
I think it will be a draw probably get my money on a 0-0 unless Oldham score an own goal
Having said that, if we can get some of our efforts on target we could well go on to win by quite a few :)

Thanks for the preview. Nice one.
This’ll be a Bishop Desmond. 2-2, with them scoring all 4.

Personally I think tomorrow is the best chance we have for another win, considering their position and the terrible injury situation they're in. Fingers crossed.

Northampton have given up now looking at tonight's result so that is a Bury type game....if the three points are still needed.
Can see a frustrating 1-0 defeat tomorrow....Oldham don't concede many and not convinced yet the team will create enough chances away from home given how they've generally looked in home games although of course it is DK's first away game so I'm only guessing.

Could do with a win but I’d take a draw.
Think Bury & Northampton are gone.
MK Mongs are on the brink but seem capable of picking up a few wins given their recent form (except for the games they just had against the top 2).
Rochdale & Oldham will both still have a game in hand on us after tonight. They do play each other in the next few games though so could help our cause.
AFC Wimbledon got a good win last night so are capable of getting out of trouble but we do play them Saturday so that will be in our hands!
I reckon a draw tonight and a win on Saturday will be enough. But let’s hope for 2 wins so we can relax a little for the last few games!

A draw would be okay. Think it’ll be 0-0. Must not lose.

Re: Oldham Athletic (A) Apr 11th, 7:45pm
I will be there tonight, but not overly confident, we STILL can't seem to score, that ability seems to have drained from our play, they have been reasonably strong at home recently, and they too are fighting for their 3rd Division status so will look upon us as 'easy pickings' for 3 points. Hoping for a 0-0 draw, but head says 0-2, regrettably.
Hope 'Soton' is actually right, but it has been soooo long since WE have scored, it doesn't fill us with confidence that this will change any time soon.

Top David Mitchell reference that!
This is nowhere near as important considering Saturdays and last nights results as it was a week ago. Worst case scenario we are 5 points off the drop zone, 3 points off the magic 50 mark after tonight with Wimbledon and Northampton to come.
Shows how terrible our season has been though that a draw at Oldham would be a result I'd happily take.

To anyone brave enough to make the journey...WRAP UP WARM..............It's about 6/7 degrees up here at the mo, with the wind chill it feels more like 1/2 degrees max, inevitably it will be even colder later on, and, as Boundary Park is known throughout the land as the coldest spot on earth, be warned!

Seriously thinking about using ifollow for this one.
Has anyone got any idea how good the feed is or reliable it is? Last I heard it was still very temperamental? Can you even buy one off games?

First games were problematic, let's say it, but later it works good. No commentary, no clock, no score, but it is bearable. Always you can check stats (turn it on and off). Of course if you live outside UK, you can watch it. If not, only audio. Like previous player service. And I think you can still buy one game, it was available in the last game, so why not this time.

With Oldham being forced to play two youngsters in the centre of defence I think we'll get on the score sheet. My worry is whether Deano's work with our fragile defence will be enough to keep Doyle quiet.
1-2 to Walsall
1-2 to Walsall

That's my guess, but it could be, when you use your phone, it was seen as device in the UK, not outside. I don't use smartphones, only laptop, so can't help. But I know there is possibility, you are outside, but connections are from UK. So for IFollow service, you are in England. It means no video, only audio.
