Stats are just that stats. It`s the mindset that gets teams beat. These are different players so hopefully Keates has had a bit more time to get them thinking positively. Think we can win but need to come out with a different spirit to achieve it.

I agree with this.
Hopefully the Keates (or Keats as he's known by some on here) influence will be starting to show.
The betting folk amongst us should be happy to put the house on us (says he who rarely bets)....

Sitting in front of a screen all day again today i'm afraid , this is the one game i wanted to get to however i couldn't get out of it.

On paper i fancy us today , the league table doesn't lie , we maybe shi ite , Bury are worse , so the head says a home win, however..................

I always think to myself , how many of the players are there thinking about next season , maybe a release clause here and there or for the likes of Messi an almost certain move to a bigger and more ambitious club . Are they alraedy onthe beach somewhere hot ?

46 years on the planet has taught me one thing , being a Walsall fan is crap because sooner or later the boys will break your heart. To close to call with any certainty , however lets hope for a big crowd getting behind the boys from the off and a win.

Heart rules the day for me on this one 2-0 in front of 4444.

Really, really, really hoping for a win today, we need those points desperately, but that's a bit like placing a bet on Walsall, they will ALWAYS let you down.

Pin this memo up on the changing room wall "To win a football match involves scoring goals!" something we have forgotten how to do!

Squeaky bum time indeed.

So, that puts paid to the 12th man from the fans then? Whitney Mark 11?........if the team don't perform, try 'em again next time?

They need a reshuffle, not same old, same old. Come on Dean, try something different.

How long will we last before Hanson gets the winner?

Flight delayed so will take off at 3 and land at 5, so will be hoping for good news on arrival! Maybe it’s the sunshine but I think we will win convincingly today (though I’ve just seen the line ups!)

So, you suggest we continue with the same formation that has failed so miserably to either score a goal or win a match for literally weeks? All we are asking for is something to get the heart racing a bit, although it has to be admitted there is little else available to him!

Not really much he can do with the personnel is there? I mean he’s stuck with the players Whitney signed.

But yeah get on his back from a distance without watching them like you always do if you want

No. Because as per you are talking rubbish.

If you were here you’d know they actually have changed shape with more of a diamond, Chambers DM and Morris dropping deeper into a more central role.

And we’ve been on top. Bakayoko should have scored.

But we should just get on his back already

According to ifollow, we have had plenty of chances but we just can't hit the target :| they are there for the taking if only we had a goalscorer :|

Morris (twice) Shaibu Cuvelier and Ozzy with chances. Horrible feeling they are going to smash and grab this.

Goal-less at half time. Portsmouth's equaliser at Rochdale has given us a 3-point cushion above the drop zone (for the time being)

For the stattos....... We, the home team, have enjoyed 40% possession. Bury, bottom of the table, haven't won in yonks, have had 60% possession. I can't think that Dean Keates will be too happy with that.

Half-chances, quarter-chances, but chances? 2 shots on target, one for the team. Not enough quality, unfortunately :(

Stick Candlin and Ngoy up front.

How Baka and Shaibu are being picked ahead of Ngoy I don’t know.
