Keates and WM, were quick to praise him too. At last the lad seems to, once again, be getting the coaching and developmetn that he deserves.

It feels like the nightmare is over and we have a manager at last.

I really do hope that the lad comes good, and comes out of the blocks all guns blazing pre season, because if he doesn't show more than he has up to yet then he will find it difficult to find another club to be as patient as we have been :|

Well done Deano and our young lads.
Now can this Deano do what the last Deano done and get us to Wembley and some playoffs??
Oh, and despite moving on, thanks Ozzy. You don't owe us anything now. Best of luck to you.

That was a great save from Liam. We couldn't tell from the away section if a save or it hit the post.

A good turn out, I guess 600 away fans.

Job done. UTS!!

Do you not realise that my posts are in jest most of the time (above occasion notwithstanding)? Trying to lighten matters in the knowledge that we have an awful team? Jesus, you and Saigon take matters soooo seriously, it's all about light hearted banter, those that know me also know that there are few as dedicated to the Saddlers than myself. This season has been a nightmare, I have hated the fact that we have stared relegation in the face, but might, just might escape that humiliation after Saturday's daylight robbery. I hope we do beat Bradford & Fleetwood, no one would rejoice like I would, but I am also a realist! :(

Bantz gambit played, after seven or eight seasons of persistent trolling then?

Genuine question.

Please explain, what the figgin hell is Bantz gambit? And what is 'trolling'? I obviously have a 'persistent' new untold wealth of abilities! :? All I have ever done is make comments or express opinions.
I think I'm too old for all this modern idiom of social media. If I knew what the 'question' was??
I'm off to Bradford.......................
Up The Saddlers................You'll never stop me from continuing to support MY club.

'Kin hell (work that one out?) Who the hell is attempting to prevent you from supporting the club? :?:

In plain English - you repetitively predicting that 'this' event (insert next game) is finally the end of Walsall's tenure in League One / the football league / existence, has actually all been a crock of carefully cultivated banter, all light-hearted fun (for you).

To 'troll' is to deliberately mislead or agitate people for personal enjoyment. It appears Swamping has somehow described 'trawl' by accident. :? :D

So you're either the world's most miserable fan, spewing out a constant stream of negativity, or you are simply pandering to your own desire to amuse yourself by spouting constant negativity that you don't think will actually occur.

Just wondering which. You are entitled to be either, or perhaps both. I was simply trying to find out more.

Well done Dean, the players and the fans. It was never in doubt

Fitting that Ozzy should score the goal that ultimately secured our L1 status.

Now for a clearout.

Credit to the lads and anyone that travelled - I noticed the away fans were house on the side and not behind the goal in that strange 2 tiered stand.

As said - fitting Ozzy (sort of) keeps us up with a parting gift. Bench him for Saturday now though please - his work here is done.

Didn’t think we would’ve stayed up really - We still get a trip to AFC Wimbledon too which I like. Now just up to Oldham and Rochdale to fight it out.

Thanks to the players and Deano for keeping us up some great away days next season'

I would just like to eat a massive piece of humble pie, after the Wimbledon game I was convinced we were down and said on here I could not see us getting another point with the gutless players we have got. I am very happy to be wrong and congratulate Deano on installing some fight and pride in the team, something that has been missing all season.

Does anyone know the official away following? Sounded brill on the radio and numbers look good on that footage too.

Last night was the most nerve racking 95 minutes I have ever endured

Thankfully we hung on and we can all enjoy a nice day out for the last game on Saturday and its a Bank Holiday weekend and Blackpool not far away

I know we have been desperate to retain our League 1 status but Rochdale have gone one step further...........They are relying on Jesus to help them
