Can’t help but feel Gillespie has been made a bit of a scapegoat for our defensive problems but always good to see one of our youngsters start and there’s no reason Kory shouldn’t start over Donnellan.
But what he’s thinking up front I have no idea. Start Baka by all means but not on his own.

True, and he will still be here in another couple of months i suppose, where Roberts will be off to pastures new, but i still think we should make use of his undoubted talents until then.cumbria-saddler wrote:To be fair, Bakayoko has scored in the last two games.

100% agree, but you should know the law by now "Thou shall not start a game without Bakayoko up front"
Roberts will not be a happy bunny knowing he has the skill so absent in the affor-mentioned!

Seems to be one-way traffic at the moment.

True, but he has let in an awful lot of goals, with only one clean sheet. Think his acquisition was a bit of a bummer, when you see he antics in last years play off's it makes you wonder what on earth they saw in him. Let's hope that Roberts proves a little less 'brittle' between the sticks.
Seems from the stats that Baky is just producing a lot of fouls, Morris seems to be the one making all the shots.

2 shots and they score from one bugga.....................if we continue to fire blanks from now on I think Whitney's gone!
What a shambles, still sometimes we play better in the second half...clutching at straws mode!

Hate to say it but Devlin never deserved to lose his place in the first place. On top for half an hour and didn’t make it count.

I can only judge him on what I’ve seen and from what I’ve seen he doesn’t deserve to be dropped. The selection process seems completely muddled.

As it stands we are one point above the relegation zone....this is terrible, we cannot sit back and let this happen to OUR club, some positive action from supporters might be the spark that ignites our Board to at last take some action to halt the decline.........................Still as I have said, we sometimes play better in the second half. 10 shots no goals, Gills 2 shots one goal, I bet all the youngsters that were there today for the first time are excited by our brilliance................ :?

As I've said not good enough at RB over a season.
Seems a decent performance at least, 11 shots on target. When was the last time Walsall had that during a full game? If only Roberts and Agyei were on!

Bit harsh, you're constantly on every match thread criticising when the opposition are having shots on target and spells of domination. Sometimes you get games where you just can't score although this obviously wouldn't be a clever game to lose for many reasons.

We haven't played badly, Gillingham are dire and we're 1-0 down, make of that what you will. Liam Roberts has played well though, commanded his area well. Glad to see the 2 weeks working on cutting out mistakes has worked well!

Get Roberts and Agyei on at half time, they can score at league one level ffs.
Whitney's love affair with Baka is going to cost him his job.

Kinsella’s not League 1 standard, in any position, especially at right back. Devlin should be starting.

With this spell of domination it's criminal Tyler Roberts isn't on the pitch.
Him and Agyei will come on at 0-2 I bet.....

NOW he puts Flanagan on for Morris! The man is demented. But, Tyler is also on, thank goodness, we could scrape a point out of this you never know. What am I saying? shows how low we have sunk.

Roberts passes to Roberts who gives the ball to Roberts who plays a one two with Roberts who then passes back to Roberts who rolls the ball out to Roberts who passes to Roberts etc
