I went to Bristol convinced I would see our first away win.
I will go to Oxford convinced I will see our first away win.
I will be at Wigan convinced I will see our first away win.
Etc.

1-1 all and get out of dodge. Best you can hope for on the road at the moment it seems.

Gene Pitney will be more confused than ever following the stiffs 3-1 magnificent victory.
Which of the 30 strong squad will he now pick and what formation.
4 - Nil Oxford

After last season's bore draw I am quite relieved that I can't make it.

We were great in the last 5 minutes - wiped the floor with them.
2-0 this time, I'm afraid.

This will be a very tight encounter.
Seeing as they have a strong coaching staff I'll go for....
Oxford 4-4 Walsall
OXFORD
Manager; Ray Graydon
Asst1: Neil Cutler
Asst2: Ray Train
Ray Train
Adrian Viveash
Lee Bradbury
James constable
WALSALL
Ollie kearns
Paul Simpson
Tommy Mooney
Ben Purkiss
ATT: 6940 (438 from the mighty Saddlers)

We will play okay, but lose 2-0, in front of 460 disappointed Saddlers.

I'm that convinced we'll lose, we'll probably win, if we do win, we'll then lose to Charlton anyway, If we lose we'll probably beat or sneak a draw with Charlton. BLAHHHH hoof ball mediocrity

Re: Oxford United (A) Sept 23rd, 3pm
We will probably play brilliantly again, ahem :? (in the second half) but will already be 2-0 down at half time from a couple of defensive howlers (again), however, praise will be heaped upon the team from our lot who are there, and in the Oxford fans forum, of how they would love Ozzy in their team etc, etc. But we will still lose 4-0 because every time they surge forward they score, whilst we hit the bar/upright/magnificent goalie saves etc, etc.
Still lets hope for a 2-0 win as one brave poster has predicted (still with your head in the clouds again mate?).
Stranger things have happened, ya never know! :D :D That away win has to come....eventually!
UTS.

Whitters is saying we are going to win.
But then again he said that about Rotherham...
Unfortunately football isn't like flipping a coin with a 50% chance of success.
Sadly for JW you have to factor in things like tactics/ in game management/ team selection/ man management etc....

We all win an away game at some point. We're due a Sheffield United away type confounding the stats, worldy saves and refereeing decisions. Just due one like that.

Re: Oxford United (A) Sept 23rd, 3pm
Looks like the 5 at the back has been abandoned at long last.
Not sure if it's 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 (and I'm sure the players won't be either) but the team is
Gillespie
Devlin
Guthrie
Wilson
Leahy
Chambers
Edwards
Morris
Oztumer
Ismail
Roberts

Ismail must have impressed against West Brom under 12's then? Whitter's losing patience with Baky?

Ismail and Morris were very good against WBA but not too sure I would have gone with this team at Oxford however lets hope my previous prediction is right....

No Jackson. Not even on the bench. Is he injured or been caught offside in the car park ?
